Maybe the hardest day ever bit by Pauley/Abby was they filmed the entire show.... we saw part one part two will start season 15 off.... and she is in the squad room for whatever reason they can imagine.... when the word comes in that Torres returned alone.... Gibbs and McGee were left behind.... facing certain death.....
It is a guess.....
I would like to watch again.... before I vote above....

2017 May 16 NCIS Critique of “Rendezvous” by Diane and David Munson
It happens every year about this time, so we’ve come to expect it. The NCIS’ seasonal finales have been ending with a “to be continued” cliffhanger, and it happened again tonight. Each year the finale scene is a dramatic explosion or gunfight and we have to wait until the autumn season premiere to see if everyone survived. Then throughout the summer, blogs and TV critics will speculate about which of the actors from the NCIS show will not be included in the fall lineup due to contract negotiations.
Tonight, Gibbs’ team is investigating the discovery of the body of a Navy SEAL in Paraguay, when they learn that two SEALS (Petty Officers Matthew Dean and Charlie Hudson) went on an “off the books” rescue mission to find the young son of a Paraguayan citizen who aided a team of SEALS during an earlier mission in Paraguay. Now the young son was being indoctrinated to become a revolutionary soldier. Those of you Hallmark movie fans might recognize PO Dean’s wife Elizabeth as being played by Erin Krakow from “When Calls the Heart”, which by the way is a favorite of ours and worth watching if you are looking for something different over the summer.
Long story short, Special Agents Gibbs, Torres, and McGee go on a daring rescue mission in Paraguay to save PO Dean, and when the Navy rescue helicopter is trying to depart, the three NCIS agents are engaged in an active and dramatic gunfight with rebels. So we have to wait until the fall to see if the whole team survives. It was really an exciting, well-written, and well-portrayed episode.
Any opinions about who survives and who if anyone beside Ducky might be leaving the show?
Have a great summer and watch for us to weigh in on various important news events until the NCIS team returns.
Be Blessed, Diane and David Munson

NCIS: Sean Murray talks about McGee's near brush with deathLYNETTE RICE @lynetterice {Spoiler Warning - Click Here}POSTED ON MAY 17, 2017 AT 10:33PM EDT
On Tuesday’s season finale of NCIS, McGee and Gibbs stay behind on a mission in Paraguay and are immediately outnumbered by a jungle full of rebels. Will McGee survive to go home and begin a family life with his pregnant wife Delilah? We asked McGee’s alter-ego Sean Murray to talk about Tuesday’s finale and where the action will pick up when the show returns for its 15th (!) season next fall.
ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: How is your character feeling in the final episode? SEAN MURRAY: In the last episode that aired with the wedding and getting news about a baby coming, there’s a lot there. Tim has a lot more responsibility that he has to think about. That plays in to the finale.
Does that fear drive him to step off the helicopter? Yeah, I think it does. He reaches a moment where he makes that decision because he is first and foremost an agent. That’s a decision that he makes. He goes back into it with Gibbs and it’s looking pretty scary.
Is he avoiding his life? That’s funny. I don’t know. I’ve never thought of it that way. I still have a little bit to think about it. There could be different versions. Who knows where it’s going to end up. They don’t tell us anything.
Did you have fun shooting the action scenes? We had a blast. I’m just now getting feeling back in my feet because of running around in boots on uneven terrain. It was a blast, but it was definitely some work.
Where did you shoot that scene? A lot of that end sequence was shot in two places. One of them was on Soledad Canyon past Disney Ranch and Sable Canyon Ranch [in Southern California], which I don’t think is there anymore. Another place nearby there, I’m not sure what it’s called. It’s where we typically go to do a lot of the Middle Eastern stuff. We do Afghanistan there sometimes. It looks pretty good, doesn’t it?
How long did it take to shoot that? It could have been a 10-day episode. We fit about three days’ worth of filming in the two days there. It was a real run and gun. It was exciting because that was the material too. It kind of likened itself to the energy of filming it by having to get so much done during the sun up hours. Everything of course was during daylight. The whole thing was really neat. I can’t wait to see what happens next year and where we start and how it’s going to be.
Will it pick up moments later? I’m just guessing, but I would think so. I think it would pick up moments later. Just the way that ends, yeah, I think that would be the case. Again, I’m just guessing.
Is this the most personal your story line has gotten? Yeah. We visit a lot with McGee’s family early in the show and the strange relationship with his father, who has since passed away. He made good with him before he passed. As far as Delilah, he’s been in this relationship with her for a while now. I love playing the stuff with McGee at home with Delilah. We’ve had episodes where it shows them at home arguing over making dinner and things like that. I love doing that stuff because it’s different than what the show normally does. It’s fun when we do that. All the agents haven’t had great relationships in the past. This is a positive relationship. That’s neat to have on the show.
Have the writers said they will be exploring that more? We’ve talked about it. As we’ve gone the last couple years, we have an open dialog about where we think things will go. We’ve been talking down this path for a while. I’m happy to see it. I love the progression of McGee, growing with him and getting to see all that happen. It’s really interesting in the last moments in the finale when he buckles down and says, all right, I’m here to do my job.
Have we seen him in such a dangerous moment? We’ve seen him once or twice in some situations but not quite as hairy, scary, or over done as this one in terms of being outnumbered. Tough guy moments are fun to do sometimes.
Do you know if you’re going to get hurt? All I know is we’re outnumbered. We’ve got all these rebels closing in on us. Gibbs is out there by himself shooting with a SIG and that’s what McGee has got left at that point so he joins him. It doesn’t look good. I don’t know where it’s going to go. I’m sure those guys do. Like I said, they don’t tell us.
How has it been since you lost Gary Glasberg? We were besides ourselves, of course. That’s how it was. Gary meant as much to the show as anything and was our leader. It wrecked us. As far as how it affected production, it was amazing. Everyone stepped up. Gary had lined up so much as far as the story lines and the arcs that are going to happen this season. We were going to stick with that plan. Everyone in the past, when something has happened, has stepped up. Everyone stepped up to back what Gary’s plan was for the year. That is a testament to how prepared and how good Gary was at his job.
Was Gary’s plan to have you be Rambo in the finale? I don’t know if he planned the ultimate Rambo. In terms of the relationship with Delilah and some of the personal stuff with McGee, a lot of that was lined up. We had talked about that stuff. We kept it internal. Our group has been together for so long that we were able to step up to different positions when they needed to. We just huddled together. It brought us really close together.
Do you keep reminders of Gary on the set? Of course. We’ve got pictures of Gary everywhere and little things and awards that he’s received. Gary is a part of the thing and will always be. He’s there whether he’s here or not. He’s there. ew.com/tv/2017/05/17/ncis-sean-murray-mcgee-near-brush-death/?xid=entertainment-weekly_socialflow_twitter

Last year, season 13. Episode "Saviors" where Tony runs into Jean again, after she is married and they go and rescue her husband and a Navy Lt.
And it was Tony and McGee with the other guy who were in the Sudan. Gibbs was home with the heart thing.

I wouldn't call it surrounded, but Gibbs and Tony were pinned down by a helicopter in 'South by Southwest' until Gibbs shot it down.

ahhh o.k., "Saviors"...
and I do remember the episode "S x SW" from several seasons back, where LJG showed his horseback riding skills - and his rifle shooting skills...
thanx, guys!

This was a really good interview. Sean has really stepped up to the plate in show promotion since Michael left and I think it's fantastic.
I've always thought that Sean/McGee was overshadowed by Michael/Tony's much bigger personality. But it also seemed that Sean didn't mind deferring promotional duties to Michael, who seemed to enjoy the publicity side. For that matter, Mark is the same way. For being the lead in the show, Mark rarely does publicity stuff. But with Michael gone, someone has to do it and like you, I'm glad Sean is doing more.

(I just realized something as I was proof reading this post for the 10th time; it's a "critique"! I promised myself I was't going to write them for this season, and I actually managed make it thru' 23 episodes with only miscellaneous comments - no full blown critique... but I guess old habits die hard, and I am a creature of habit after all... without even realizing it, I "critiqued"... soooo, here 'tis...)
well, I finally watched the season 14 final episode, "Rendezvous" (no NBA playoffs today)...
the opening scene for the show was the "baby shower" sneak peek trailer with "Blabby"... if I thought that the trailer was annoying, the entire scene almost caused me to start bleeding from my eyeballs! that "herky jerky" mannerism that PP uses for her character is so freakin irritating!
as was discussed earlier by a few of us, it really doesn't matter that McGee told her to "slow down" - that he should discuss it with Delilah, that maybe her sister would like to have the shower - - no, no! it didn't even matter to Blabby! her answer: "Nope, the clock is ticking." ticking?! ticking?!!
unless I'm wrong, there's still 5+ months left before Delilah gives birth... there. is. no. rush!!! but that doesn't matter to the 7 year old who wants to have a baby shower regardless of what the parents of the baby might want!
there may be those who really like this character, but for me she is a complete turnoff... Blabby is silly, stupid, selfish, and more than anything - simply beyond annoying!
unfortunately for me, this character is "written in stone" so nothing will ever change her... PP will take this character, as is, to the last line of the last scene of the last episode of the series finale!
oh, and who doesn't want baby shower decorations that have been "recycled" from a crime scene?
o.k. - end of opening scene tirade...
moving on to the missing and dead Petty Officers in Paraguay part of the story... I don't feel like breaking down the entire episode, so I'm just going to hit on a few points that stand out in my mind:
> the dismembered body scenes were gross, and the idiot Palmer making jokes over it was tasteless! even after chastising him for his remark, Ducky himself added to the conversation with an equally inappropriate comment... not funny, guys!
> PO Dean and his buddy have a gambling problem and the "code word" for going to Vegas is "going fishing"... what a great guy, huh? he has a wife who loves him, who fears for him when he's deployed to wherever, and he lies to her about where he goes when he needs to "decompress"? he may be a "hero" to some, but he's just a douche when it comes to his wife!
> so after determining that PO Dean is still alive in Paraguay, minus one hand, Gibbs decides to go rescue him... however, he fails to tell Director Vance of his plan? a pissed off Leon walks into MTAC to ask what's going on, and instead of tearing into Gibbs, he "green lights" the "mission"? riiiiight!
> what would this mission be without an EXPLOSION? hooray! the 3 boys are rescued! a gunfight ensues... "bad guy thugs" are dropping like flies, but Torres, McGee, and Gibbs are apparently protected by a magic invisible shield...
> I still don't understand why Gibbs misses boarding the helicopter, and McGee, who has already boarded it, jumps off and returns to Gibbs side to resume the gunfight with the "bad guy thugs"...
"To be continued..."
> do I think for a minute that either one of them are going to die? nope - not for a minute! I have absolutely no idea how they will survive being surrounded and outgunned, but I will bet the farm on it! do I care? not in the slightest!
in fact, I didn't care for Gibbs and his team going "all Rambo"... this whole idea of three lone NCIS agents going into a foreign country on an extremely dangerous rescue mission is, welllll, just dumb...
I've said enuf'...

nas Hey Nas, correct me if I am wrong, but the way I understood it, Vance knew they went to Paraguay to retrieve the PO, but the planned OP to go rescue the boys was off the books. Their mission was to get Dean and get out.
But yeah, the rescue mission was dumb in a lot of ways. But that's typical Gibbs when it comes to children.

At the risk of stating the obvious, Torres will have the helicopter circle back around and he will single handedly shoot the people ambushing Gibbs and McGee. Then they will swoop in and grab the two with a grappling hook and fly off to safety. Then they will miraculously be back at the Naval Yard to start their new case.

I never try to think these situations thru', but that sounds about right, dude...
btw, is it me or is LJG looking just a little too "long in the tooth" these days to be doing a Rambo impersonation?
