HAPPY BLIZZARD DAY!
And I ain't talkin' Dairy Queen. Yes, I've had enough snow for this year. And poor nas, I saw Phoenix was only supposed to get up to 73 degrees today. I hope she can handle it... ![8-)](//storage.proboards.com/6692675/images/bTgwqjOVJ37FNxZmUn0L.gif)

No blizzard or even flurries or even cold enough to snow but I did have on a sweatshirt for the 1st time in years. Had the heat on for a bit to take the edge off the chill in my condo.

I was a little west of the higher snow totals as the storm went up the coast but still miserable with a lot of wind and blowing. My husband was able to work from home and the doctor I work for closed for the day.
It is going to be brutal though here through Sunday - wind chills in the negative numbers.
On the plus side, my dogs love the snow. Watching them play in the snow makes me smile, even though I am freezing while I am with them.

thanx for your concern, seldon... I've gone into "hibernating bear mode" 'cause baby it's cold outside!
you have winter cold/snow - I have summer hell, er, heat/more heat! 😉
as the old saying goes, "everybody's gotta be someplace!"

Hey nas... I agree... it's been cold in the mornings here in the valley of the smutz in the air...... but if you are able to get out around noon and stay in the sun.. it's not terrible... just a light wrap will be needed.... I'm just looking forward to February when the ding dongs are all in my neighborhood for the golf tournament...you have to love 5+ heels walking the street to save parking fees to attend the game... these young women have skirts that barely cover their goodies....short short and peek a boo neck lines....
but on a serious note....those of you stay safe if you are in the path of the storm....

Even though the Washington Post doesn't think we Minnesotans have any sympathy for the East Coasters going through the winter "bomb cyclone" - I feel for the folks suffering through it! This profoundly unusual weather event is unprecedented, and I wouldn't wish it on anyone! Yes, we could survive it - but we have the resources, and the experience. Here, it is just darn cold! I am getting tired of the -20 air temps in the mornings. At least the sun has been shining. I really don't mind the cold too much - it's the dark that gets me during the winter - but this long stretch is beginning to wear thin. I do hope it warms up for the Super Bowl - there are a lot of outdoor activities planned.

being the "late sleeper" I am, I don't usually leave the house until after noon anyway, kaschu, so 40 degrees at the crack of dawn is not my problem...
something tells me those "ding dongs" wearing their 5 inch heels and 3 inch skirts aren't there to watch any golf...
ahhhh yes, these games & tournaments bring out "the best" in our lovely town...

I am a horrible New Englander.
So tired of the near non-stop coverage of the Pats.
IT'S A GAME PEOPLE!

IT'S A GAME PEOPLE! And here in Chicago I couldn't tell you the results of a single Bears game this season. I don't feel like I'm one iota less loyal to the city.

so, SunshineBoozer, I guess that means you won't be spending the $4500 on one of the "cheap seats" to see the game in person, eh?

I wouldn't go if they paid me $4,500.
Actually, I would take their tickets, for my brother & nephew.
But, yeah, we'll be watching the Puppy Bowl, with Kitten Half Time Show.
