As for the picture, that's Dietzen as himself and with a full beard. I'm saying him on the show, as Palmer, and with a goatee. For some reason, when you say Palmer with a goatee this is what I picture:

@ seldon
with or without a goatee I think Palmer would still be a "doofus", but I think he should join "the club", and grow one like McGee - and apparently like Torres has decided to do, too...
um, maybe it's just my imagination, but I think that picture of Brian Dietzen (on vacation/wearing his sunglasses) looks exactly like Jake Gyllenhaal; without the sunglasses, not so much:
www.imdb.com/name/nm0350453/mediaviewer/rm575346688 do you see it?
nas
I think you need to specify the hat too.

An ex-girlfriend of mine used to say mirror Spock looked more like Satan than Satan. Gene Roddenberry's original intention for Spock's makeup was RED. However, on Black and White TV's it would have shown up as Black, and someone reminded him that RED was traditionally reserved for Satan.

Leonard Nimoy's Autobiography, I believe it's "I Am Spock". It might have been "I Am Not Spock", but I reread "I Am Spock" just after his death and recall him relating the story of the original pilot and the subsequent discussions on a character with pointed ears, a female first officer, and other taboo's in the 60's.
EDIT: Found it. "I Am Spock". Red skin color first mentioned on page 23, then "By that time Spock's 'look' was starting to gel. We had the proper skin tone - a yellowish-green, which looked far better on a black-and-white TV screen than red, which simply turned Spock's face jet-black." page 27 and 28. A mention of looking like Satan is made between page 23 and 27, along with the tail and pitchfork.

Will the Vegas shooting affect the CBS schedule on Tuesday night. Haven't been watching TV, but if they aren't doing 24/7 coverage, then it shouldn't.

And we're off and running. Looks like the title refers to someone going 2 for 1 on a casket. Looks like a cold case. Peek 1 is the scene right after the credits.

Cold/Teaser:
That male mummified corpse looked an awful lot like the one from Dead and Unburied.
Medically healthy? How? 2 months of near starvation and physical mistreatment/torture would take their toll on both men.
Mark looks great. Looks like he's thinner and healthier but does look his, not Gibbs', age.
Me thinks Gibbs is going to crash and burn before this hour is over.
Let's see if there's a mention of Quinn tonight.
The checkered pink top worn by the woman grave digger looks like Ellie's from the cast photo in Season 11.
Torres is superstitious.
ACT I:
Gibbs may be fooling others - and himself but he's not fooling me. Tim lying too but think he knows he's not okay.
Really liking Bishop in charge. (I'm already very happy with what George & Frank's vision)
I don't trust this widow!
I like Gibbs being with Torres and McGee being with Bishop so they're not together.
Grace sputtering is weird.
Here we go. Wow! Never thought I'd hear Gibbs say he was happy/grateful to be alive. When he's been rescued from death before he's seemed resentful. Another "wow" - honesty from Gibbs.
Will this New Gibbs stick around this time? He was suppose to be New Gibbs after "Life Before His Eyes" but it never materialized.
YES! I knew I couldn't trust her! That said, I don't think she's involved in his death.
ACT II
Don't know about this.
Gibbs cleared. McGee not. I somehow think this is going to get reversed. Still think Gibbs is going to crash. He's just too chipper. His joviality is just too pronounced. Why isn't anyone noticing? Grace missing what I'm seeing is troubling. She bought it hook, line and sinker.
McGee more honest in his struggle to readjust so I think he'll be okay before Gibbs.
Uh Oh! Something really wrong with Jimmy.
ACT III:
Toxins. How will they connect with the case?
Gibbs doing a lot of shrugging.
Abby continues to improve. But... (see below)
Yup. Gibbs struggling.
Enter McGee - after ringing the doorbell. GIBBS LOCKS HIS DOOR!
The colder and angrier Gibbs is the truer Gibbs - tells Tim to "Go!" after he straight out tells Gibbs he can't fake it like he does.
... either she or post production put in a Gibbs x 3.
Lt Coins drugged. I can only spell chemistry so the medical/science talk went right over my head just as it has for years.
ACT IV:
Energetic stride. Happy morning personality. Talkative (for Gibbs). Really not Gibbs.
Is Gibbs back in charge?
Pete, when looking down, eyes up, looked like the woman serial killer from Smoked.
I did NOT suspect his involvement!
Pete was too obvious.
Well-deserved!
David McCallum is completely delightful.
Don't let fear live in your head, Tim. It doesn't pay rent so kick it out.
Cleared.
Now for Gibbs - again.
I don't think he's ready yet.
Maybe more notes as we discuss.

A little amnesia on the part of the writers (or more like not looking up history). DMSO was used back in the pilot, 'Yankee White'. It's what was mixed with the poison used on the uniform of the Marine who died on Air Force One to make it get absorbed through the skin.

I'm not sure what you mean by amnesia. 15 years ago there was a case, how many investigators are going to recall case specifics from that long ago? DMSO used then and no one but the victim was harmed. McGee wasn't there. Abby had more science to do other than identifying the DMSO.

He dosed Gibbs' tools and nearly killed him. You'd think that would be pretty memorable. I need to rewatch before I write a longer post, but I thought Sean and Mark were wonderful tonight. Tim clearly knew he wasn't all right but desperately wanted to be. Gibbs who is surprised that he's all right but really isn't as all right as he'd like to think. Fantastic performance by both! Also you can still see a light scar on Gibbs' cheek where he had the split cheek in the previous episode. Nice little touch there. Oh and the poll is up.
