I've been busy as well dealing with a sick feline. My cat of 13 years (and the partial inspiration for my screen name) got sick around Thanksgiving and despite our best efforts, he never improved. Today I had to make the heartbreaking decision to let him go. Once I've had a bit to recover, I'll re-watch the episode and come back with some thoughts. Oh Ilyan, I am so sorry to read that. I lost my last furbaby when she was 20 years. It is a horrible decision to have to make and it hurt just as much as making the decision to let my mom go. Take your time and know that we are here for you.

finally got around to watching the episode "Double Down" (visiting daughter took priority 😊)... imo, the ep was just "meh"...
seldon mentioned in one of his posts that the stand up comedian, Chet, was a comedian in real life... actually, the guy was Jonathan Kite who played Oleg the cook in the 6 season sitcom 2 Broke Girls (I only watched a couple of the 137 episodes - not big on sitcoms...) he looks totally different without a beard, but there was no mistaking him behind those big brown eyes...
according to his IMDb bio he's returning as Chet in the next NCIS episode come January...

He's not listed on the press release for the next episode, so I'd chalk that up to a mistake on IMDb, Nas.

From his bio: But apart from that, only Tim Donnelly should ever be Chet.

Wonder how many will get the reference

good thing I are computer literate! 😉 if I wasn't, I couldn't have Googled Tim Donnelly to find out who he is...
not everyone is a fan of those "oldie-moldie" t.v. shows like you are, seldon... you are a master!
but I wonder where he is these days...🤔 according to his IMDb bio he hasn't acted in decades; I could've sworn I've seen him on t.v. since 1984 (the last entry on his bio)...

Then I guess we can put you down for not getting the reference. According to IMDb he switched to behind the scenes, mostly the art department. And I suppose I'm the oldie-moldie since I watched that show back before it went into syndication.

there were a couple of pix of Tim Donnelly on Google images... he was a handsome man in his younger years, and he looks pretty good as a "mature fella"... he must have simply preferred to be behind the camera instead of in front of it...
well, you may be an "oldie-moldie" now, seldon, but Emergency! originated 40+ years ago in the 70s, so you were definitely a "young puppy" watching it back then, right?

Emergency! originated just 2 years after Ronald Reagan signed the Wedsworth-Townsend Act into law (he was the California Governor between acting and becoming President). I don't think he ever said so, but I suspect part of his motivation in creating the series was to help gain support for the rest of the states to get paramedic programs. And yes I was young at the time, but everyone was at some point.

All that talk of " Emergency!" needed this.

All that talk of " Emergency!" needed this. 905-WILD was supposed to be a pilot for a spin-off. NCIS may not have been MH's first success, but he definitely had a few failures along the way.

Sadly I wasn't able to see it. I can't even see it on line...it had been taken down a few days after it was posted.,

I didn't want to look even when I knew I knew the name so I didn't.
As soon as I saw Emergency (which I loved - aired on Saturdays when I was often babysitting) in the thread I could picture him in my head - that bushy hair and large mustache are unforgettable.

But as far as the humans go I was a Johnny Gage girl.
