First, there was absolutely no reaction from McGee to Reeves' death, therefore, no comment to be made here.
As far as Abby's departure, I'm not sure how to describe this.
Sean Murray is a fine actor. He does an excellent job on the show and I applaud him his effort and patience working with Weatherly all those years.
This show was not only not his finest moment, in my opinion, it was quite possibly one of his worst.
I have no doubt that this was a difficult episode for him to shoot. His time with Pauley, and the character of Abby has been hundreds, if not thousands, of hours of investment, both professionally and personally. So I'm certain that emotions had to be running high every day.
So I can give a pass on much of the bad acting by Sean. I'm sure he and the other's believe his performance was terrific, but as a viewer, one who knows what to look for in a performance, I found it hard to watch. And while the final scene was clearly personal for all involved, Sean's good-bye was clearly Sean saying good-bye to Pauley, not McGee saying good-bye to Abby.
