So while I was writing up my review for the last episode, I was thinking about the season as a whole and thought it'd be nice to do a poll for the whole season to summarize things before we start getting spoilers for season 16. I also thought it would be nice for people to chime in on their favorite and least favorite parts. I'll put a few starter categories in this post but I'm open to additional suggestions. I'll put my answers in an additional post so I don't clutter it up here.

Favorite Episode: House Divided
Favorite Moment: Toss up between McGee's return to Delilah in House Divided and the Gibbs/McGee conversation in Twofer
Least Favorite Episode: Fake It 'Til You Make It
Least Favorite Moment: The contrived hostage scenario while Delilah was giving birth
Favorite Guest Star: Drew Carey French Stewart (with Joe Spano in a close second). After seeing pdsmith777 's reply, I changed my mind. French Stewart, even if his inclusion was contrived, played a deliciously creepy man. I wouldn't mind seeing him back again (although not in McGee's apartment!)
Least Favorite Guest Star: American Picker's Mike Wolfe (He was fine until the end of his scene where it got creepy)
MVP of the Season: Jimmy Palmer. I thought his transition to full time ME was wonderful. It was nice to see he still had his humor but the goofiness went away and he started out nervous that he wasn't going to live up to Ducky's high standards but he was a confident ME by the end of the season.
Missed Opportunity: The dropped story line of Tim and Gibbs' trauma. After episode two, the only reminder of what they went through was Tim's goatee...
What Do You Want to See Next Year: A few things:
1. Tim as a father to young children and how his job affects that (and getting him and his family out of Tony's old apartment!) 2. Delilah! 3. Jimmy owning his role as ME and making it his own, I loved the new, less goofy Palmer this season! 4. Gibbs continuing to mellow and open up, I loved seeing him playing cards with friends in Two Steps Back. 5. Jack moving past her trauma (and really the whole show moving past her trauma, which I never really liked to start.) 6. Vance coming back (I don't want him killed off!) 7. Having some growing pains with the new Forensic Scientist, whether it's Kacie or not but I kinda like her, so I'd like to see where they could grow her character. 8. Good case mysteries that keep me guessing!
What Don't You Want to See Next Year: The will they/won't they dance between Bishop and Torres. Either get them together or don't. I had enough of that dance with Tony and Ziva.

Favorite Episode: House Divided
Not a bad choice. I liked High Tide. Enjoyed seeing Bishop in a "non-Bishop" role. The ending was bad, but that was par for the season. "Fake it till you Make it" wasn't bad either. I also liked "Sight Unseen", "Handle with Care", "Keep your Enemies Closer"
Favorite Moment: Toss up between McGee's return to Delilah in House Divided and the Gibbs/McGee conversation in Twofer
I liked the way that Bishop dealt with Clayton's death. I also like the end of "Fake it till you Make it" Clayton's look into the camera had such an intensity to it.
Least Favorite Episode: Fake It 'Til You Make It
"Fall out", "Ready or Not"
Least Favorite Moment: The contrived hostage scenario while Delilah was giving birth
Agreed
Favorite Guest Star: Drew Carey (with Joe Spano in a close second)
Joe Spano is always a welcome site to the screen. Drew did an excellent job also. French Stewart has to be on the list.
Least Favorite Guest Star: American Picker's Mike Wolfe (He was fine until the end of his scene where it got creepy)
The girl playing Kaycee.
MVP of the Season: Jimmy Palmer. I thought his transition to full time ME was wonderful. It was nice to see he still had his humor but the goofiness went away and he started out nervous that he wasn't going to live up to Ducky's high standards but he was a confident ME by the end of the season.
I would have to say Mark Harmon. Being executive producer for a show where one of the main actresses doesn't even want to be on set the same days you are had to be tough, but he pulled his character off without a hitch. Can't say the same about Pauley, you could see the tension in her body language. Good job Mark, bad job PP
Missed Opportunity: The dropped story line of Tim and Gibbs' trauma. After episode two, the only reminder of what they went through was Tim's goatee...
Follow up with McGee's children. Developing the part and character of Reeves, BIG MISS.
What Do You Want to See Next Year: A few things:
1. Tim as a father to young children and how his job affects that (and getting him and his family out of Tony's old apartment!)
When was the last time you saw Breanna and baby Victoria?
2. Delilah!
I love Margo, but this isn't going to happen.
3. Jimmy owning his role as ME and making it his own, I loved the new, less goofy Palmer this season!
Agreed
4. Gibbs continuing to mellow and open up, I loved seeing him playing cards with friends in Two Steps Back.
Agreed
5. Jack moving past her trauma (and really the whole show moving past her trauma, which I never really liked to start.)
Less of Jack, or no more of Jack.
6. Vance coming back (I don't want him killed off!)
If Vance stays, I would like to see a more expanded roll, more episodes and more story lines.
7. Having some growing pains with the new Forensic Scientist, whether it's Kacie or not but I kinda like her, so I'd like to see where they could grow her character.
No more Kacie, No more Kacie, No more Kacie, No more Kacie, No more Kacie. A new Forensic Scientist with a completely different personality, and maturity, perhaps a more mature actress who can give Gibbs a bit of pushback.
8. Good case mysteries that keep me guessing!
What Don't You Want to See Next Year: The will they/won't they dance between Bishop and Torres. Either get them together or don't. I had enough of that dance with Tony and Ziva.
No more Kacie. Wait, I said that already.
Nice topic Llyan.
I have to say that overall I was highly disappointed this season. And the PP/MH situation clearly didn't help. And perhaps that was the key to the season, the writer's hands were tied due to the conflict and they had to write around so much of what they would usually do. Here's to hoping season 16 is vastly improved. Of course, no more Kacie will help.

In comparison, he was so much better than Drew even though I did enjoy Drew's appearance. (I changed my answer accordingly too.) French Stewart was fantastically creepy. I would love to have him back again!

Favorite Episode: "House Divided" / "Twofer" - also liked "Keep Your Enemies Closer"
Favorite Moment: Gibbs alone in the bullpen, putting on the bracelet and reflecting on what happened and wishing he could talk to his father (Ep1) / Gibbs playing poker with Confalone, Vance, Fornell and Sloane (E22) / Kasie overenthusiastically hugging Gibbs the first time she meets him and Gibbs being flabbergasted (e17)
Least Favorite Episode: Trapped
Least Favorite Moment: Sloane introducing herself to Gibbs as damsel to get to know him (ep4) / McGee and the ham radios / Palmer guilt tripping Torres in spending all his money on the charity (ep6) / Hostage sit during Delilah's hospital stay (ep9) - actually there were many stupid moments over the season
Favorite Guest Star: Joe Spano, followed by French Stewart
Least Favorite Guest Star: Skye P. Marshall from "One Step forward" and Don Lake from "Fallout"
MVP of the Season: Mark Harmon because of the added stress of PP's drama queen routine ruining the whole season. I would have prefered if they had Abby written out by the Winter finale and giving Reeves a better send-off.
Missed Opportunity: 1. Gibbs and McGee's trauma; 2. Clayton Reeves - they never knew what to do with him. A good MI6 storyline would have been great, maybe an arc that would have resulted in his send-off.
What Do You Want to See Next Year: - Cases that keep me guessing - more mellow/happy Gibbs - while I don't mind Kasie (tone her down a bit), I would like the opposite of Abby as new Forensic Scientist: male, introvert, professional, not playing favorites, etc - Torres being competent/confident and not a substitute Tony, the class clown/frat boy - Palmer growing even more confident and indeed owning the ME role - less to no Jack Sloane and her drama storyline. Sorry, but she doesn't need to be in every episode. - ties to JAG and therefore guest appearances by former JAG cast - McGee being a competent SFA and not only the geek; he didn't grow as agent this season, he's still too much McGeek
What Don't You Want to See Next Year: - McGee and his twin cherubs storylines, let them fade in the background like they did with Breena and Victoria - Senior! Please can we finally get rid off of him? Thank you very much!! And lose the Sherlocks as well. - Sean Murray overacting (like with Abby's departure, he acted like she died - terrible!) - not another TIVA, this time starring Bishop and Torres - just no! Same for Sloane and Gibbs - hell no!

you guys amaze me!how do you remember every episode title and the specific moments the way you do?for the most part once I watch an episode I pretty much file it away in the back of my “brainpan”, unless it was a pretty dramatic scene - like Agent Lee being shot by Gibbs - or Trent Kort being riddled by bullets by the entire Team Gibbs - or Tony finding out he had a ❤️-child with ninja-girl 😡... what I don’t want to see:1) PLEASE no kiddies! mention them, show us a picture if you must, but leave the babies McGee at home...2) likewise, enough of the aging old fart, Lothario DiNozzo, SR.! he’s irritating and brings absolutely nothing to the party!! 😝c’mon, pd, tell us how you really feel about “Ka-Ka”... actually, I must agree with you... 🤔 um, how about an intelligent, mature, Asian woman to replace Abby, Abby, Abby (and Abby 2.0)? I think that would be a great - and welcome - addition to the cast! right now the regular cast =: 6 men - LJG/McGee/Torres/Vance/Ducky/Palmer and... 2 women - Bishop/“Jack”
yep, I like my idea! 😊 (but who’s out there to fill “the position”?)

Two names come to mind.
Tamlyn Tomita - played the love interest in "The Karate Kid II", also "Quantum Leap", "The Joy Luck Club", "JAG", "NCIS:LA", "Eureka", and many more, and recently "The Good Doctor". Which may make her unavailable, but a great choice.
Rosalind Chao - Played Klinger's girlfriend/wife in "M*A*S*H" and "After M*A*S*H", O'Brian's wife in "ST:TNG", and "ST:DS9". Recently "Code Black", "The Catch", "Tragedy Girls", "Sin City Saints", "Castle", to name a few. Also a great choice. As for Kacie - Please get her out of there, now. I know it's not the actresses fault, but the writers/showrunner's really messed up trying to replace Abby with another Abby.
The hint to remembering episodes is to open a new window, then open the season 15 thread where all the episodes are listed along with the summary of the show.

nas Wondering about how mature you mean. The first name that popped into my head was Ming-Na Wen who is still looking great at 54, but fortunately she is unavailable (I'd rather have her on AoS, which got renewed). Her current character would probably put Gibbs through a wall if he tried to intimidate her.
I'm sure by mature you didn't mean 30's, but a couple of good choices there. Dichen Lachman at 36 is quite a versatile actress and could be a nice fit. And although she already did an NCIS episode, Maya Stojan played the police computer expert on Castle and was good with the tech talk, though she's only half Asian.

by “mature” I meant someone who behaved (and dressed) more like an adult than a child or teenager, as both Abby, Abby, Abby and Abby 2.0/“Ka-Ka” have been portrayed...
chronological age is irrelevant; said Asian woman could be anywhere between 30 and 60 for all I care, just so she isn’t as irritating as her predecessors...
it seems the pickin’s are pretty slim for the current availability of Asian actresses, isn’t it? 😕

I don't have the episode names or episodes memorized, Nas. Like pdsmith777, I use the episode press releases contained on this board and the handy website, epguides.com/ncis/. If I'm looking for an episode by plot, often the name of the episode is enough of a clue to put 2 and 2 together. Also knowing who was in the cast helps, if Jenny, Vance, Kate, Ziva or Bishop were in the episode, it narrows down the list of potential episodes. Or sometimes, I'll remember the name but not the salient details, which is when the press releases come in handy.
I also agree that if we never saw DiNozzo Senior again, I wouldn't be upset. I'd much rather see Bishop's brothers or Tim's sister (which would be a long shot) before Senior. Actually, I'd really like to meet Tim's mom but not part of the case.

A couple of other names that came to mind were Sandra Oh, and Maggie Q. However both are currently on other series, so that probably rules them out. But one more thought came to me. Samantha Quan, she plays Lucy Liu's sister on Elementary. I don't know what her contract with Elementary is, I do know that she has already appeared twice this season, and it's early. I also don't know what the shooting schedule for Elementary is since it's now a mid-season series, and it has already been renewed for 2019, and it shoots in New York. However, it is a CBS show, and they might make some kind of arrangement to have her do both, or drop Elementary for a full time paying gig.
Nas you are right, there are few choices, however there are several younger female Asian actress that come up through the ABC/Disney channels and have through the years. Perhaps one of them could be recruited.

I left off Maggie Q just because having been the lead so recently I didn't think she'd go for the smaller role. Sandra Oh is a decent pick. There are others out there.
Jadyn Wong - should be available with Scorpion having just been cancelled Grace Park - seems to be available, but would want to be paid as much as Mark Harmon Tia Carrere - might be available, probably still best known for Wayne's World Moon Bloodgood - half Korean, but often cast as a latina. Was on the just cancelled Code Black Linda Park - not sure about availability, already did one guest appearance on NCIS episode 'Lost at Sea'
Michelle Krusiec - looks available, appeared in NCIS episode 'Under Covers' as one of the FBI agents. Possible to keep character the same if she wanted out of the field and went the route of studying forensics and would move from the FBI to NCIS to get her own lab.

those are some great suggestions, Hari and pd! maybe someone should pitch ‘em to casting at NCIS... unforunately, I think they are suffering from a serious case of “tunnel vision” when it comes to the role of the Forensic Scientist on the show - no imagination whatsoever! 😕
I think Sandra Oh would have been great in the role, but there’s 2 things that are working against it: 1) her salary demands would probably be too high and... 2) she’s already committed to another season of Killing Eve... (btw, I watched all 10 episodes of that show and waited for a satisfactory conclusion in the series finale - and they never delivered! 😡 ergo, I won’t be watching Season 2!)

I honestly don't care who they get as long as they're the ultimate Anti-Abby. I don't mind a couple of quirks as long they're not Abby 2.0
