Certainly a better episode than the first. Enjoyed some of the humor and kept waiting for Torres and Palmer to starting singing "If I had wings like an angel, over these prison walls I would fly" while sitting in jail waiting for Gibbs. This episode was more like an old fashioned murder mystery than usual for NCIS and we finally didn't have a terrorist blowing up something or kidnapping someone. Although I don't like the Jake character, the opening scene with Vance was done well.

it never occurred to me just why those two bigoted, racist idiots would be at a wine painting class until you brought it up, llyan... they would definitely be more at home in a redneck bar, wearing their red MAGA b’ball caps, and drinking lots & lots of beer 🍺🍺🍺🍺...
but this was obviously the writers’ way of creating the scene that involved the racial/bigoted /homophobic insults... (memo from TPTB to writers: Be sure to include a political statement in episode 16.02 to address today’s atmosphere.)
and this was the best the writers could come up with... again, their creative writing juices were just not that, um, creative... in fact, they were pretty dumb...

@ bob...
I kept waiting for them to lean in and kiss 😘... DO - NOT - GO - THERE!, I thought...
they didn’t last night, but based on a past interview with, I can’t remember who atm**, a ‘ship with Bishop & Torres is on the horizon... of course there is!! 😠 what would this show - or so many other series on t.v. for that matter - be without a ‘ship between two people who have absolutely no chemistry between them?!
** edit: In Season 16, “Torres and Bishop sort of… become close,” co-showrunner Frank Cardea shares with a wink. And while the show isn’t going there just yet, “We’re glancing in that direction,” the EP affirms. After all, “If you go back in NCIS history, the ‘Tiva’ thing took many years to develop.” Believe us, we know.

~ I won’t keep beating the dead horse, but I still think that moving that hot tub en todo was ludicrous... if anyone disagrees with me - or knows that a hot tub can be moved full of water, with or without body & blood, please feel free to tell me... At least they acknowledged the weight and ordered a flatbed and crane, though you still have to get support underneath it to use the crane. They had the right idea using the shrinkwrap over the top, but you would want that under the cover and when they removed the cover the underside of it was still clean and dry.I was thinking that very quickly. In Palmer/Torres' place, I would have responded, "Really? I thought you two were the couple."Did you really have to go there? I think of this board as a refuge from that BS. There was ZERO mention of their political affiliation in the episode If this becomes a political bashing forum, I'm gone! I think they tried to pass off his fight on the fact he (Palmer) had been drinking wine but honestly that part was what I liked the least about the episode. Wine may have factored in, though remember he got drunk on apple juice a few seasons back. I saw his participation in the fight as part of his ongoing desire to be a member of the team. While he knows he'll never be carrying the gun and agent badge, he's always looking for a way to be a part of the group within the limits of his abilities.

I really had no intention of going “there” to start “political bashing”, Hari...
if you read the part in my post about the “memo from TPTB to the writers” to create a scene including “today’s atmosphere”, I was merely making the point that NCIS had to get “political” by having a couple of bigoted, racist, homophobes in one of the scenes talking trash to Torres and Palmer... true, there was ZERO political affiliation mentioned... there didn’t have to be - it was clear to me what their “affiliation” was, and I was quite offended by that scene...
if you’re gonna be “gone” I hope it would be because you don’t like that NCIS tries to shove their “politics” down our throats from time to time - and not because of something I write...
that said, I apologize for offending and/or upsetting you...

I knew from the beginning that the sunglasses had some sentimental meaning, but I didn't think of Reeves.
