The Emmy-nominated actor will begin his 16th season playing Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs when NCIS returns to CBS on Tuesday, September 25 at 8 p.m. ET/PT and 2018 marks his 45th year earning his living as an actor, his first paid job was in the TV series Ozzie’s Girls in 1973.
In addition to NCIS, Harmon has starred in such acclaimed TV series as St. Elsewhere, Chicago Hope and The West Wing.

—Harmon attended UCLA, where he quarterbacked the football team to several winning seasons, for which he was awarded the National Collegiate Football Foundation Award for All-Around Excellence.
—Harmon has been married to Mork & Mindy star Pam Dawber since March 21, 1987.
—He was chosen as People magazine’s second annual “Sexiest Man Alive” in 1986.
—Harmon worked as a carpenter while waiting to get his acting break, so Gibbs’ carpentry skills come naturally to him.
—He studied pre-med at UCLA college before switching his major to communications, graduating cum laude. He later played doctors on St. Elsewhere and Chicago Hope.

The man is so protective about his privacy that when any publication wants to talk about him (unless it's a project) the tout out the same old stuff.
