well yes, pd, I guess I am...
Benson’s line to Dan Quayle is one of my most favorite political memorables... 😉
nasI really shouldn't in this thread, but will anyway - One from Johnny Carson:
"Wouldn't the decision be so much easier if it was Bush/Benson vs. Dukakis/Quayle?" (1988)

The problem with the statement stems from the fact that Dukakis and Benson were the ones trying to replicate the Kennedy/Johnson ticket, which is what made his statement such a crock.

Solid B. Lost a little for Torres deciding to call Bishop “babe”. She earned a little back for calling him on it. Knew Jimmy was being pranked and after he looked st the security footage I knew it had to be Tim. Loved him faking his “medical” leave and getting the last “laugh”.
The CIA guy, if my face memory is working, is the guy in Vance’s PT waiting room. Danger! Warning Will Robinson! Very glad Jack didn’t fall for his tactics.

so far, I am loving this episode - I’m at the half-way mark...
I cannot believe how much I ❤️ “Ka-Ka” - or “Kase” as Gibbs calls her...she just makes me lol! 😅 she is a breath of fresh air down in her lab!
more comments to follow...

Not really liking Torres calling Bishop "Babe". Real world that would have netted him a sexual harrassment complaint.
CIA Officer Clarke: Yep he's the same guy. I think I know what's up. The clue came during his conversation with Jack in her office. Commenting on Hakim's ability to break his captives. I'm guessing the CIA's keeping close tabs on Leon to see if Hakim succeeded in turning him into a sleeper agent. They don't quite trust him.
Glad they didn't turn Jimmy into too much of a doofus. Loved how he got the last laugh.

Best pun of the episode: The pawn shop owner's dead gf was named Wayfair and Wayfair had just what they needed.
Just reiterating what I said in the first Torres episode - Wilmer is just no good at the fight scenes.

did anybody recognize the actress who played the witness “Rosie Brown”?
tho’ the Guest Cast list incorrectly named her as Maria Gibbs she is, in fact, Marla Gibbs of The Jeffersons fame - the feisty, funny family maid Florence...
at 87 years of age the lady is still feisty, funny - and incredibly beautiful! and, according to her IMDb bio, it seems she’s been working consistently for decades... bravo, Miss Marla!
other episode comments - in no particular order:
1) imo, another “A” episode... I liked the “mystery”...didn’t try to guess who the handler was - just went along for the ride ‘til the reveal...
2) “Kase” wants Gibbs to be “consistent”... poor baby - she can’t differentiate between him asking her “how she is” and “what she’s got”... her delivery is soooo darn cute!
3) what make & model car are Team Gibbs driving? they look pretty sporty for Federal issue vehicles...
4) re Torres calling Bishop “babe”: me thinks the dude is really walking on thin ice... is he that clueless? well, I guess we can’t really blame him - he’s just written that way!
5) I like it when Palmer sheds his doofus persona; his wink & grin at the end said, “gotcha’, McGee!” very cool! 👍
6) if CIA agent “ whatsizname” is back, can Mallory be far behind? (remember her?)
7) gotta agree with Hari Seldon - Wilmer V needs to work on his fighting skills...

The fight scene reminded me of the one Gibbs did, in the locked room with the drill sergeant. With Tony and Kate really early episode. This season it does seem like they told the writers to watch early episodes over the break and then write their take on them. No complaint from me on this score. I also like "Kase". with this episode we probably got more screen time with her, nice that they are putting her in slowly. Torres and Gibbs are having conversations that Tony and Gibbs took ages to have, but we are now in season 16 so they can ramp the timeframe up.

3) what make & model car are Team Gibbs driving? they look pretty sporty for Federal issue vehicles... I'm pretty sure they drive Dodge Challengers, which is a common police vehicle. The Pennsylvania State Police have an unmarked version that's ice blue. It's a good looking car and doesn't look like a police vehicle until you see the uniformed state cop driving it...4) re Torres calling Bishop “babe”: me thinks the dude is really walking on thin ice... is he that clueless? well, I guess we can’t really blame him - he’s just written that way! [/quote] I dunno if he's on thin ice but this shipping thing (if it is even a thing) still feels very one-sided. Torres seems to be the one with feelings for Bishop and she seems indifferent.

Certainly a down episode after last week, but not a bad episode overall. I hope we're not going to be in for a long arc involving the CIA guy. NCIS doesn't do long arcs well and this guy didn't add much in the way of hope.

NCIS doesn't do long arcs well and this guy didn't add much in the way of hope. It's rather unlikely that they'll have Vance turn out to have been turned (I doubt even they would try to convince us that he could have been turned, get discovered, get turned back, and yet remain Director). More likely the CIA guy was turned and will hide it by throwing suspicion on Vance. Either that or he instead reveals that his face is in fact a mask, rips it off, and reveals he is actually Kort (who survived a dozen bullets) out for revenge.
