it hurt my heart to see LJG disconnect Ducky in mid sentence the way he did... 😕 that was rude, crude, and totally disrespectful... shame on the writers for creating that spot (a sign of the times perhaps?) - and shame on Mark Harmon for agreeing to do it...
the scene where the “poor pitiful patsy” goes to the guy’s apartment and gets him to confess to the murder of the scumbag boyfriend (I don’t remember their names - don’t care) was just so badly acted, I cringed 😖... her slapping him and drawing blood - him grabbing a baseball bat... ugh, awful! 😝 and then when Gibbs and Jack go blasting through the door, guns drawn, shouting “we got it on tape!” was another cornball moment...
oh, one other thing: she called the scumbag her “boyfriend”, said she “loved” him, went to jail for 3 years, AND didn’t even know his last name? SERIOUSLY!?
all in all this episode was forgettable...

I gave it a C. Passing average grade. Like taking a required class you have no interest in. I watched but wasn't engaged.

Have you heard of this thing called "the internet"? People there are falling in love without ever meeting or talking to each other, and, sometimes, without even knowing who the other person really is...

Have you heard of this thing called "the internet"? People there are falling in love without ever meeting or talking to each other, and, sometimes, without even knowing who the other person really is... That was happening long before the internet. People would go to movies, see an actor or actress on screen and fall in love. Even becoming obsessed. Or see a photo of someone in a magazine. This is nothing new. They just used the trope to make her look silly, or childish, or to reemphasize her poor choices in men.

There's a new Ted Bundy movie being made with Zac Ephron playing him and I saw a mention that Bundy had gotten a huge uptick in love letters after Mark Harmon's movie about him. Developing an emotional attachment to a movie or television character isn't such a surprise, but thinking the actor really is the character shows a disconnect from reality. As for the photo, that's usually just someone mistaking lust for love (and yes I do believe in lust at first sight), but really anyone who sends a proposal to a person they've never met has some big issues.

@ bob, Hari, pd, & kate
I always shake my head when I read or hear stories about women like those you described in your posts...
but the ones who really get to me are about those who send $$$ to a man they’ve never met, sometimes wiping out their bank account! they fall for some cock and bull story because they have “fallen in ❤️“ with a total stranger! (shoot, I don’t even lend money to people I know!)
it just makes me sad to think about this... 😕

I had a rather scary situation about 6 years ago. as you know I do pen paling....mostly to women and somehow a prisoner got a hold of my address (probably one of the Friendship Books that goes around or is sent. well I had ot contact the prison to stop it. I had to do this without my mothers knowledge. Yeah I know the argument. I am old enough to do what ever I want but didn't want to worry her. She ended up getting upset when the prison sent me a confirmation letter to stop said prisoner from contacting me. Another time this guy in one of the groups I was on was insisting on sending me a gift after I helped him with something and I graciously said no thanks. this was only after three days of knowing me. flowers showed up at my door. Mom freaked. I contacted the guy and firmly chastised him. A friend of mine who was a moderator of the pen pal group intervened on my behalf and told him to not contact me again. He told the person he knew me better than she did. It was unsettling.

I gave it a C. Neither bad nor good. Just blah. Did like the interaction between Gibbs and McGee at the beginning though.
