Sneak Peek #2
Note: all sneak peaks are from the CBS site so they may not work if you're outside the US. I'll replace the videos once I find another source.
The ones I posted were YouTube.

The ones I posted were YouTube. So were mine, meaning the CBS Youtube site, which restricts access. But I removed it anyway since you posted the videos. You caught me mid-edit.

Seldon, you and I are on the same wavelength! I just posted them only to realize you posted them at the same time.
On a side note, I hope that when McGee said his in-laws were in Chicago that he didn't mean Delilah's mom was there. If so, that's the third place we've been told she lives. When Delilah was hurt in the bombing, her parents were coming in from Wisconsin. Then Delilah's mom lived in DC when the ice storm took out all the power. Now his in-laws are in Chicago.
The irony is when I saw them on Youtube then came her I figured they would probably have already been posted by you (like they usually are) and was even a little surprised when I completed the post without anyone else having put them up.
As for Delilah's parents, perhaps they live right by the Illinois-Wisconsin border, like Kenosha. That would make roughly equal distance between using O'Hare or Mitchell and O'Hare probably has more available flights (yes, the explanation is a little cheesy). Or perhaps there's other family in Chicago and Delilah's parents are also visiting.

So far we've gotten several sermons on homeless vets and a scumbag lawyer who's obviously involved. Not a great episode so far.

However I found the shootout rathe gratuitous. I didn't quite understand why Gibbs wasn't going to help take care of the baby he has taken to babies in the past.

isn’t there some kind of rule/law/legal requirement that would prohibit Torres and Bishop from just keeping that baby and not contacting Child Protective Services...
but like so many other situations on NCIS, it just seems like they ignore the obvious and do whatever they want...
neither Torres nor Bishop live where they can keep an infant, so, of course, they wind up at Gibbs’ house..🙄
and all the gushing and gooing over that baby is just a bit much - by all of them... don’t get me wrong, I love babies, but.....
not too happy with this episode so far...

It was just plain bad.
Gibbs with Ellie and Nick in toe forces his way into someone’s apartment. No warrant. Guy ends up dead. Bad guy or not this was just plain wrong.
Keeping the baby with the lame excuse of leaving a half-dozen voicemails.
Tim. Changed flight. Reeeealy? Christmas Eve day. Zero to no chance. Seemed to me he was trying his best to not go to join his wife and kids. Have they even had a Christmas at home yet?
Kasie and Jimmy scenes were the only thing I liked but not enough to give the episode a passing grade. Oh and the multi-named baby was cute.
D. If there was a D- I’d have chosen it. Worse than “Newborn King” but not quite as awful as “Jet Gag (Lag)”.

another dose of unrealistic courtesy of the NCIS writers...
they did the same with “Ka-Ka” deciding to fly home at the last minute... like you said, NewBe, Reeeealy?

Another agenda item, which NCIS doesn't do very well. Not too keen on the Torres-Bishop get together and even less happy with a possible Gibbs-Jack get together. Breaks one of Gibbs' rules and having been in offices where they occur, have found they create a lot of problems on the job. One good thing, Palmer is a pretty fair actor and when they let him act he does a good job. Last night they let him. Good for them.

Well, I liked it.
The only bad part was Gibbs forcing his way into Vicious' apartment and that could have been corrected by giving them probably cause, ie Vicious could have answered the door with the bloody murder weapon in hand.
I didn't have a problem with NCIS hanging onto the baby or with Tim's last second changing of flight time. There are three different airports near Washington and he was flying to Chicago, not some podunk airport in the middle of nowhere. There are many flights via many airlines that fly between Washington/Baltimore and Chicago (and NYC for Kasie.) He might pay through the nose for a last second change on his ticket but it can be done. It was more unlikely that the crew was working on a Sunday, since it seemed like the episode picked up the day before Christmas Eve, which is a Sunday this year. But since it didn't serve the story, the writers conveniently ignored the actual calendar.
Otherwise, I liked Kasie's backstory with her father even if it was sad. I was worried that her father's death was the motivation for her to go into forensics since that would have been cliche. I liked it better that it was his 'shove from above' that got her back into her program, which led to meeting Ducky and ultimately her hiring at NCIS.
I also got a kick out of Tim's gentle teasing of his colleagues with the baby. I feel like Tim has had more than a few instances where he thought the twins were down which would give him and Delilah time to do work, only to have one or both of them wake up again. His wince after he warned Torres that babies do wake up, was a knowing wince. And as much as I'm sure he wanted to see his family, I do appreciate that he stayed behind to help find out the identity of the baby and get him back home to his adoptive parents. As a mom, I'm not sure that Delilah would begrudge Tim taking a later flight for that one.
It was also interesting that it's implied that Jack gave up a baby some time in her past. It doesn't seem inconsistent with her character but I do wonder if her daughter knows who her birth mom is. One niggle on the scene where they found the mother of the baby was that it seemed a little forced. It was like they weren't really giving her a choice, that they were going to kinda force her to give the child up for adoption. Although given the fact that she had just sold the kid, she would have a hard time convincing a court that she should keep the baby... I understand that it was the best for the mom and baby but that scene could have been handled a little better.
Well, this turned into more of a novel than I had meant, so I'll just leave it here.

Christmas Eve in the U.K. this year is a Monday, is it different where you are?
