This would have been a great story if not for the Ziva stuff and the apparent attempt to turn Ellie into Super Mossad Ninja Barbie 2.0 I half expected when Bishop went into that shack the spirit of Ziva would inhabit her body and she'd come out with black hair speaking with an accent and mangling the English language.
I gave it a D

Emily was amazing in this story..... and she didn't back down when Gibbs made her recite rule 10 I loved that she got back into his face.... But for the Love of all things..... leave Ninja Barbie dead..... so we are to believe that she was able to get in and out of DC rip the page out of the book go to the hospital read the page all while missing all the cameras.... get back to her cabin in the woods all without anyone knowing?? Or is Gibbs in on this??? Does he know?? I can't believe that Senior knows... that man can't keep a secret.... Why would she get a decent story after leaving so suddenly and Weatherly leaving, giving notice giving time gets terrible treatment horrible end story... Why?

As to the idea that Ziva is still alive, remember Bishop was already with NCIS before she died so she could have left the note at an earlier time. BTW, good job by Emily Wickersham tonight.

Even Emily giving a fantastic performance I couldn’t give it a passing grade. I put in the same category as: Jet Lag Housekeeping A Desperate Man.

oh man - what a strange episode!
a convoluted storyline that involved a hidden life & side of “ninja-girl”...
but the biggest question I have at this moment is: WHY?
🤔 why would TPTB, Mark Harmon or anybody connected to NCIS want to revisit that whole Ziva thing - except, of course, the Ziva/Tiva fan-attics? I would imagine they’re peein’ their pants right now at the prospect of her return...
I doubt CdP would be returning, as she was considered persona non grata after she left the show the way she did...
then again, the PR and conversations this episode will generate is pure genius! this is probably the creators’ way of breathing some new life into a show that has been, with rare exception, less than memorable of late...
so, I’m gonna try not to play into their hands and not spend too much time discussing the possible return of a character I couldn’t stand, in the first place, when she was on the show back then...
eta: one serious plot hole... how would “ninja-girl” get her hands on the journal and tear out the page with the letter? wasn’t it in the hands of either Bishop or LJG from the time it left that “office” she rented?
oh, I know! she’s a ghost!! returned from the dead to finish this case... 😝

A bit off the popular topic of the episode, but did the opening with Gibbs (MH) narrating and someone swimming down for the rescue remind anyone of Tony rescuing Gibbs in the opening of 'Requiem' in season 5?

to me the theme this year has been to revisit old cases and give them this years twist. Most of them have had bits from earlier seasons, I tend to watch and think, that was in such and such. Tonight it had at least two stories that it reminded me off, yes the Tony swim and also the brides that were kept prisoner. One good thing, the Ninja fans might be excited but it probably means we won't have to have a revisit of Ziva for the rest of this season, wait a minute though, when is Senior Dinozzo appearing, we know he has been on set?

RJW’s last appearance was on March 27, 2018... so, his “annual guest appearance” should be coming up pretty soon...
ohhhhh, I just can’t wait - I’m all a twitter!

Absolutely! I think they re-used some of the footage. If you look at the hands, they aren't all Ellie's.

and by the way, I wasn’t too fond of the bit with “Ka-Ka” giving everyone those silly gifts... the writers just couldn’t resist turning her into an “Abby 2.0”... (remember her handmade knitted NCIS vests?) I swear the writers must be having a hard time coming up with original ideas, so they’re recycling old material...
on top of that, how dumb was it to see Palmer dragging that punching bag around the bullpen?

Yes. Gina wanted the audience to remember that scene and think he was "talking" about himself - something else she and her substitute daddy (Gina made sure to have Vance bring up the "daughter" thing) had to link them.
The only way the page could have been torn out was for someone - Gibbs? Jimmy? - to be the culprit. Where did her stuff come from? The stuff Ellie saw when she walked into to hut? Who had it to place it in the hut? I'd guess it was stuff left in her desk when she was throwing the pity party for herself when she didn't return to NCIS after she quit.

One can only hope that this is just a trick, and that this story eventually dies out. My friend messaged me after the episode and stated, “for the love of God Luciana why? I would rather the entire series end being all a dream in one of the main characters mind, then this (insert a number of curse words).” He is in his words “a 53 year old who fought for his county and doesn’t put up with Bull****. Needless to say, he is not a fan of this teenage Tiva infatuation.

A female walks in (could be Margo Hirshman, CdP, Sasha Alexander, or even Danica McKellar) and asks, "So Tom, are you almost finished with the latest adventure of Agent McGee?"
