So I debated whether I ought to post this article or not. There isn't anything new in the article but it is a new article, so here it is. As far as I'm concerned, this dead horse has been beaten to a pulp. Hopefully this is the last we hear of it (even though I sincerely doubt that!).
Pauley Perrette vs. Mark Harmon: CBS Boss Responds to NCIS Vet's 'Assault' Claim, Insists Matter Is 'Resolved' By Michael Ausiello / August 1 2019, 9:42 AM PDT
CBS’ top exec is addressing Pauley Perrette‘s recently-revived assault claims against former NCIS co-star Mark Harmon, maintaining that the issue has been addressed and resolved.
Speaking to reporters Thursday at the Television Critics Assoc. summer press tour, the network’s entertainment president, Kelly Kahl, said, “I can’t speak to what she’s addressing in her tweets. She did come to us a couple years ago with a workplace concern. We immediately investigated it and we resolved it to everyone’s satisfaction.”
Perrette is set to return to CBS in 2020, starring alongside Jane the Virgin‘s Jaime Camil in the midseason comedy Broke. “We are very happy to have her on the air again this year with us,” said Kahl, “and I don’t think she would be back with us if she had huge concerns.”
In June, Perrette shared on Twitter that she remains “terrified” of Harmon “attacking” her, adding, “I have nightmares about it.” Two hours later, she followed that up with close-up photos of a crew member who was allegedly bitten by Harmon’s dog on-set in October 2016. (TMZ reported at the time that the crew member had been “roughhousing” with the then three-year-old pit bull mix, and required 16 stitches for his injury.)
“You think I didn’t expect blow back? You got me wrong,” Perrette’s tweeted. “THIS happened To my crew member and I fought like hell to keep it from happening again! To protect my crew! And then I was physically assaulted for saying NO!? and I lost my job.”
A year earlier, Perrette alluded on Twitter to “multiple physical assaults” on the CBS drama’s set, but declined to go into any detail. “I refused to go low, that’s why I’ve never told publicly what happened,” she wrote then. “I’m trying to do the right thing, but maybe silence isn’t the right thing about crime.”
She also claimed that a “very rich, very powerful publicity ‘machine’” was “keeping [her] silent,” and yet she cryptically maintained: “He did it.”
Those comments arrived just days after Perrette’s NCIS swan song aired on CBS. In the May 2018 episode, her character, Abby, committed herself to following in fallen colleague Clayton Reeves’ footsteps by shepherding a charity for homeless women. Abby shared heartfelt, in-person farewells with everyone on the team… except for Harmon’s Gibbs, with whom she instead exchanged a conspicuously edited ASL good-bye across his front lawn.
CBS at the time responded with a statement saying, “Over a year ago, Pauley came to us with a workplace concern. We took the matter seriously and worked with her to find a resolution. We are committed to a safe work environment on all our shows.”

PP probably will start throwing assault accusations again because of the lack of reaction by Mark Harmon (and she likes seeing herself as the victim in the public eye). Except CBS did finally back MH and told PP to shut up, not that they would tell the public.....

I wasn’t going to reply to this, but until I say something I can’t let it go... sooooo, here ‘tis:
WTF was PP talking about when she wrote she was “terrified of Harmon attacking her”?
Harmon, the man, didn’t attack/“assault” anyone, did he?!? “Fido”, the dog, drew blood when one of the guys on the set was roughhousing with him...
unless - and until - she has proof that Harmon was physically abusing people, she would be well advised to STFU...
imho, PP is a “Drama Queen” who is desperately seeking attention... how pitiful... 😕
I receive notices from Twitter about various people, and periodically I see her posts showing pictures of herself with a cut or bruise or some physical damage to her body...
apparently her attention seeking is in her DNA and according to past reports it has been for a very long time...
what amazes me is that CBS has given a green light to her upcoming sitcom, Broke... if you’ve seen the trailer for it it looks just like any other dime a dozen not-so-funny half hour comedy show... why CBS has brought her back for anything is anybody’s guess... 🤔
but it’s still a whole year before that show airs in 2020, so who knows what could happen between now and then...
stay tuned for the next installment of “The Perils of Pauley!” 😱 and there will be a next installment - you can bet on it!

In all truthfulness, and I mean this as nicely as possible: I think PP needs a lot of help to work on issues that are troubling her, a nice extended break from Hollywood away from everything would be beneficial for her.

PP needs serious professional help and I don't mean a guest stint on the Dr. Phil show. I mean a trip to a mental health facility for a full evaluation.

Nas “The Perils of Pauley” sounds like it would be better viewing than “Broke”. Perhaps you could pitch it at CBS.

Any information about Ziva on NCIS? –Sarah
If you perhaps speculated that the “jeopardy” Ziva said Gibbs is in ties into the Canadian drug pipeline Boss discovered in the May finale… well, you’d be wrong. Rather, the threat that compelled her to reveal herself, “harkens back to Ziva’s death and why she went into hiding,” co-showrunner Frank Cardea shared as part of our Fall Preview Q&A. (Oh and yes, Ziva is very much alive/not a hallucination, but what Gibbs knew and when he knew it… will be touched on in the Season 17 premiere.)

Joni is over and out. She ruined a man’s career and sent him a kid he didn’t know existed. If Gibbs knew any of these events it makes him a complete arse! I’ll check in here for a while but this is complete crap after the way de Pablo walked out the way she did.

I concur, CDP walked out in such an unprofessional manner, and comes back into an important story? That is infuriating! I can maybe see bringing her back for one episode in the final season. If she has a major role and is made into a victim/the good girl, I just can’t.

Agree with both Newbe and Ballerina.

I seriously have to wonder why TPTB & the NCIS writers have decided to go this route... 🤔 is dredging up old storylines and bringing back an actress who left 6 years ago under “less than ideal” circumstances really a good idea?
it just seems [to me] that they are desperately clinging to a show that probably should have called it quits a few seasons ago... (I realize you die-hard fans will heartily disagree with me, but we are all entitled to our opinions, right?)
I will watch the season 17 opener - and perhaps the second follow-up episode - out of morbid curiosity, but to quote what NewBe wrote, “I’m over & out!”

I think they are desperate to keep the show going, from a PR standpoint, yes, it works. But it really is scraping at the bottom of the barrel. To me it really seems as though it has jumped shark.

For the past couple of seasons I checked it out, then decided on whether I wanted to watch or not. Mainly I stick with it because I am curious how they are going to end it, after all this time.

well, terrij, for all intents and purposes they have ended it - at least they have for me...
there have been several shows/series where I have stopped watching because I simply didn’t care any more about the characters and/or what happened to them... I’ve now reached that point with NCIS...
as I’ve said several times in the past, I stuck with the show because I really enjoy the exchanges with my “board buddies” - not because I’m a huge fan of the show...
oh, I’ll probably have a thing or two (or more!) to say about the first two episodes of season 17, but other than that my “critiquing” days are over...
and, I’ll drop in from time to time to say “ hey”...
