I'm mostly a lurker because I don't pay as close attention to the show as most of you do so I don't have a lot to add to the conversation but I must say that I've GREATLY enjoyed reading the opinions and off-topic discussions here over the years. If you who are planning on leaving actually do so, you will be much-missed by more folks than you might realize. You're thought-provoking, hilarious, razor-sharp and always well worth hearing from. I've been a tag-along here, and at IMDB and at CBS before that and golly, it's like the BEST clubhouse here and I will be sorry to see you stop posting. Now that it's looking like I can't even see the show due to a DirecTV dispute, I was hoping to glean some good stuff from you-all so I could still sort of follow along. Sigh...

awwww, how nice of you to say so, calicocurls...
I know you don’t post much here at our little “clubhouse”, but I always take note when you do because I think your username is so cute...
too bad about the DirectTV dispute... 😕 that’s why I don’t switch from Cox to Dish or DirectTV or one of those other providers... seems they are always dropping stations - or doing something like that to annoy their customers... I may be paying the price, but I’ve been with Cox Comm’s for a very long time, and I’m happy with them...(this is not a commercial endorsement - just my opinion...😉)
perhaps some of us “NCIS defectors” will return to post from time to time... I’ll probably post something on “THIS, THAT, AND THE OTHER THING”, when I read/hear about something I want to share with y’all... that will “keep my fingers in the pie”, so to speak...
soooo, keep lurking, m’dear, you may find some fun stuff from time to time...

Oh, golly, how kind you are...aw, shucks (digs toe in dirt)... I chose that moniker because my red hair has turned all manner of strange hues as I've aged. I suppose one day it'll be one color but for now it's amusing. Alas, I can't get Cox here in Oregon. I think I'll have to get rabbit ears and then learn how to switch between those and the satellite but the TV is in the basement so I think the rabbit ear option might prove to be a challenge. Also, if this post appears in an odd way it's because I don't know what I'm doing and I really MUST go look at the instructions on how to use all the bells and whistles here. Yep, sort of a Luddite, that's me... But thank you again for your kindly words and I will most definitely keep an eye out for you and the other wanderers, and look forward to your ever-entertaining comments! (Pretend there's an emoji here, smiling and waving, 'til I figure out how to use them...hee-hee-hee!)

Looks fine to me... If your television is anywhere near any of the window wells in the basement, you might consider putting one of those flat panel antennas up against the window, but from 2000 miles away that's all I can come up with. I'll probably be waiting to see what the board says about the opening episodes before deciding whether to watch them.

I will be watching the episodes - not sure it will be on time but at some point I will watch and see.
When I first joined the boards on IMDB, I was more invested in the show. It was newer and much sharper. I enjoyed watching it and reading all the reviews and contributing to the discussions. But like every show I have watched long term, in the later years it loses its edge, the plot lines become recycled or a little less believable and it can get a little bit soap opera like with the characters. Right now I enjoy the boards and my cyber friends more than the show. But that is why I keep watching to a degree - I just don't have the same level of interest as I did 10 years ago, it doesn't bother me one way or another, I am kind of just there for the ride.
In general this is how I feel about tv shows. I never got into any shows on cable or streaming services and I stopped watching any other shows I followed. Out of anything coming on in the fall, I am looking forward to seeing Harm and Mac on NCIS:LA the most (and I stopped watching LA a few years ago). I was going to watch the last 2 or 3 seasons of Criminal Minds over the summer that I never saw so I could watch the final season but I never did. Other than sports being on in my house or the local news I would be fine without a tv...
I will keep coming to the boards and reading the posts and keeping up with everyone!

Another article on Cote's appearance in the first couple of episodes so if you're not a fan, you might want to skip this one. NCIS: Cote de Pablo's Return as Ziva Will Last Longer Than We Thought By Matt Webb Mitovich / August 26 2019, 7:09 PM PDTThe danger that Ziva David “rose from the grave” to warn Gibbs about in NCIS‘ May finale will take longer to deal with than previously believed.TVLine has learned that in addition to continuing her shocking encore in the CBS drama’s Season 17 premiere (airing Tuesday, Sept. 24), de Pablo will appear in at least two more episodes beyond that, possibly to air in the back half of the season.“We knew from the get-go how long we were going to have her for, at least a minimum,” co-showrunner Steve Binder shares with TVLine.Co-showrunner Frank Cardea says that arranging de Pablo’s comeback “started about two months before it happened. We contacted her and she was agreeable, and it really worked out well.”In agreeing to reprising her role, de Pablo “had a very specific take on where Ziva had been, and that became the seed for what we ended up doing,” says Cardea. “She could have been working for Mossad, there were a bunch of things…. But when she comes down the stairs, saying, ‘You’re in danger, there’s no time for pleasantries,’ that was her. That was her idea of how the character should come back — from a place of surprise, and from a place of jeopardy, and in the middle of some chaotic event that’s about to occur.”Cardea reveals that the nature of the danger at hand “has to do with what has happened to [Ziva] and where she has been for the past four or five years,” ever since she “died.” And make no mistake, she and Gibbs are “both in jeopardy.”Want more scoop on NCIS, or for any other show? More on Ziva plus a few other spoilers on the upcoming season.
Fall TV Preview 2019: Spoilers on 37 Returning Favorites
By Matt Webb Mitovich / September 4 2019, 12:43 PM PDT
NCIS
Yes, Cote de Pablo is back — for the first two episodes of the season and additional appearances down the line. And yes, Ziva is alive, though she is in danger once again for reasons relating to her years-ago “death.” But what Gibbs knew and when he knew it “is the elephant in the room,” says co-showrunner Steve Binder. Similarly, “answers will be forthcoming” about baby daddy Tony’s potential involvement in Ziva staying hidden, as well as his own current whereabouts. Following Ziva’s “resurrection” and the various reunions that come out of it, “Some of the storylines we started last year will continue,” including “the Gibbs angst” that stemmed from his burning of Rule 10, says co-showrunner Frank Cardea. “He’s had his best friend’s daughter in a life-or-death situation, and now he’s got Ziva reappearing in his life,” Binder notes. “We’re going to see a bit more of what happens when a guy like Gibbs decides to start doing things because his emotions are taking him there.” Also on the personal front, “We may dig into Jimmy Palmer’s home life a little,” says Binder, as well as learn more about forensic whiz Kasie’s background.
BONUS SPOILER!: “We’re introducing a few more people who work in the NCIS headquarters,” says Binder. “Maybe something fun will come from that.”
RETURN DATE: Tuesday, Sept. 24 at 8/7c (CBS)

I am curious as to what Binder means by “fun”, personally still not holding my breath that this story will be anything more than scrapping as the bottom of that barrel.

Will NCIS' Ziva Be Back for Hanukkah? Find Out Cote de Pablo's Next Air Dates By Matt Webb Mitovich / November 5 2019, 10:16 AM PST
For fans of NCIS‘ Ziva, we now know exactly when “later in the season” will be.
Prior to the start of Season 17, it was revealed that series alum Cote de Pablo would be back not just for the first two episodes, but also another pair of episodes airing “later in the season.”
TVLine can now confirm that de Pablo’s next appearances will air Dec. 17 (the final episode of 2019) and Jan. 7, 2020 (the first episode of the new year).
During her TVLine preview Q&A, Diona Reasonover shared that “up until this last episode that we filmed… our characters [Kasie and Ziva] have never met on-screen.” Meaning, it sounds like Abby’s replacement will actually get to meet the infamous NCIS team member this next time around.
Similarly, Brian Dietzen apparently Instagrammed that de Pablo was back on set just last week.
De Pablo stunned NCIS fans by popping up in the final moments of the Season 16 finale, when the former agent arrived at Gibbs’ basement to warn of looming danger. The first two episode of Season 17 picked up that storyline, where it was revealed that a vengeful someone had learned that Ziva did not in fact die years ago in the bombing of her late father’s farmhouse in Israel.
After subverting said would-be assassin, Ziva told Gibbs that she had one more thing to do, and she needed to do it alone. Gibbs’ clamshell phone then rang and the Called ID indicated it was… Tony. (Gibbs had called DiNozzo and left a message, with no details.)
“He should hear [the truth] from you,” Gibbs said. To which Ziva responded, “And he will,” before she exited the cabin she had been using as an office/hideout in the suburbs.

I just cannot let this pass...
as I previously said, I could care less about the return of “ninja-girl”, but it’s the little things that get me...
does Matt Mitovich even watch the show? why on earth does he refer to the room that “Ziver” used a cabin? it looked more like a small room in the back of a house that the “landlady” lived in...
like I said, it’s the little things - smh...🙄
