I am guessing that the MH she refers to is Mark Horowitz.

Are there are accounts of abuse on set by MH? Or is PP the only one?

here’s the link to the Vanity Fair article - it is very longgggg...www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2020/07/the-fall-of-a-cbs-showrunnerI guess the news has been so overcome with Coronavirus and politics that a story like this doesn’t even make a blip on the radar...
I must say, it’s an interesting story - not surprising, but interesting...
my question is: is there a modicum of truth in what PP has said - or is that just in the “reality” that she lives in? 🤔 I have often thought - and written - that I think PP is a drama queen, so it’s a tough call to make since this V.F. article has been released...
eta: regarding the initials MH: imo, it is very misleading because the first thing that comes to my mind is Mark Harmon and not Mark Horowitz... even tho’ Horowitz has been listed as an exec producer for NCIS’ 394 episodes, his name never even crossed my mind when it came to PP’s accusations... am I the only one who thought this?

nas I didn’t even think of that, thanks for posting.

Nas the reason I thought PP was being economical of the truth and just put MH while she meant Horowitz, was because she knew most people would think Harmon. In a past outburst she drew a sketch of the person and it resembled Horowitz. Most people know of her Dave dispute with Mark Harmon so think it is HIM. I could be wrong and she could well have meant Harmon but it doesn’t really ring true. Is he a saint? No, he didn’t get where he has without some steel, but I don’t see him as being racist or homophobic.

well, mchnelson, as the old saying goes (using a play on words), one might say PP was trying “to kill two birds with one MH!” if that was her intent, it worked with me...

read PP’s twitter post again a little while ago - just for fun... note what I bolded: so yeah, she was talking about Mark Harmon, too!
that’s all I have to say on the subject... I know you’re probably saying, “stop beating a dead 🐴, nas!” o.k., I will...
commenting about this [again] is just a little diversion from the insanity and stupidity that is going on in the world around me right now...

But Nas Horowitz and PP would probably call it his show as well. He has been there since the beginning, he came from JAG. It was why I thought she was being rather clever with the wording. Is the story gaining traction in the US?

yes, with 394 credits to his name, you could definitely call NCIS Horowitz’s show, mchnelson...
PP was indeed being clever by simply using MH in her comments... you know, if she really has a leg to stand on with her accusations one would think she would do something about it, especially in this age of “Me Too”... but instead, she’s like a dog chewin’ on a bone - she just won’t let it go, and she simply makes her snide remarks periodically...
as far as the story gaining traction here in the U.S., I haven’t seen or heard one word about it... if it hadn’t been for the post you wrote about PP’s tweet regarding the Vanity Fair article, I wouldn’t have known about it...
as I wrote in my previous post, the news is all about our cr@p political situation and continual coverage of Coronavirus... maybe it was news on the “t.v. rags”, but I don’t watch any of those shows...
I remember when Les Moonves got axed from CBS a few years back, and that story made bigggg news on all the national media outlets... but that was another time - - now our news is all about the “orange 🤡” and CV-19...

I have no real desire to read the Vanity Fair article - so commenting without the full story.
When I saw PP's tweets it was Mark Harmon that came to mind immediately.
I agree that with the Me Too movement and the reports of toxic environments on CBS shows it is hard to believe if the had evidence it would not have been exposed. I have not seen anyone corroborate her story, for that matter I have not seen many people comment one way or another. I have seen co stars support PP but not her story ...
What bothers me is she say she had tolerated mistreatment for "years." If the issue was (as we had all speculated) the colleague who was bitten by Mark's dog and her wanting the dog off the set that happened a short time before she left, not a long term situation.
NCIS has had a lot of guest stars and actors/actresses through the years. I would think something would have been said if the culture was really bad...
But once again all speculation since I was not there.

I get this really goofy thought (what?! me? having goofy thoughts!? 😉): everytime someone here posts a “Tweet” written by someone who made a guest appearance on NCIS that “gushes and goos”, and is overly complimentary about how wonderful the cast and crew on the show is, I always wonder: “ 🤔 Is this for real or are they offered a little added bonus in their check to write those flowery words?”
I realize that’s very cynical of me, but I have never read things like that written by actors about other shows on t.v.... (ahhhh, the life of a Realist is sad indeed! 😕)
and yeah, I agree, luckysmom, not being there to witness what goes on behind the scenes, we will never really know...

Nas I read once on some how to (wikihelps) and it was "how to be a fan"...One of the things is do not follow blindly and I have followed that path for years. It is quite possible that the guest stars and whom ever was given and incentive. I am hoping and praying that what PP is shoveling out there is not true but I am not there.

I am a bit of a realist too. I have not seen compliments to other shows/ casts on social media, but that does not mean anything since I don't follow actors/ casts/ shows on social media for the most part. I only see these thanks to the members of this board who post them.
