so, Gibbs is naming the new boat “Rule 91”, eh?
whatever does that mean?! 🤔 maybe, “forget Rules 1 thru’ 90!”?
what do y’all think?

p.s.: LJG never did answer Phineas when he asked him how he got the boats out; he just smiled and said, “I’ve done it before.” what a cop out! 😠

Actually, I'm kind of hoping that when the series ends, it finishes with Gibbs beginning to move a boat out of the basement.

yeah, that would be a great finish, verdun!
then we’d get to see just where that “magic hidden basement door” has been after all these years...
that would be perfect for a series finale showing “man, woman, boy, dog” getting on to the boat! (boy (Phineas) & dog (Lucy) are just visiting the “man & woman” for a day out on the water...)
I realize this boat, Rule 91, is only a prop, but it sure is pretty!

I thought he would name the boat "Chickadee" after his mother. The toy boat that he built as a child with his father, when his mother told him that if you have a boat named after you, you will never be forgotten, - or something like that.

Ok, two things from these pictures. At first I was just going through quickly and actually thought 'Rule' on the boat said 'Kate' at first glance.
Secondly, did NCIS get budget cuts on their body armor? McGee could use something that hangs down 2-3 more inches and Bishop's vest covers about the same amount as a sport's bra. In fact, Bishop's vest reminds me of:
(Apologies in advance if this derails the thread at all)

I can’t decide if I want to know how Gibbs moves the boats. Part of me wants to know, but I also enjoy the enigma of how he moves them. Also, I worry the reason will be a let down as I have seen in other shows.

Promo:
Bishop on phone: What's rule 91? Gibbs on phone: When you decide to walk away, don't look back.
Can't trust the editing of a promo for anything for certain though, this one also has an unknown political-looking type saying "We're coming for you Agent..." with the editors taking the actual name of the agent in question out of the clip. It's set up to seem like it's Bishop, but I'm guessing that one is actually aimed at Gibbs in the episode.
Everyone's contracted for at least another season, right? This is obviously gonna be a typical NCIS season-ending cliff, and I haven't heard anything about Emily leaving, so I suspect another case of over-dramatic preview. Considering Odette is in the episode, it's probably a case of Bishop having to go rogue on whatever bad guys they've come up with to frame her for that old NSA leak, combined with action against Gibbs and whatever happens with his solo op regarding Marcie's case.

It looks like Gibbs got the boat out of the basement already as he's standing next to it on some pier at 0:06 in the promo.
Pretty sure we once again don't get told how he got it out.

Just a guess. I think that there is a door leading out to either the back yard or drive, that they never have shown us and probably won't.

Just a guess. I think that there is a door leading out to either the back yard or drive, that they never have shown us and probably won't. If that door was there, someone would have seen it by now. I haven't watched last night's episode yet and probably won't until tomorrow night or Friday, but there was a picture posted in the thread for it, At the top of the picture, just right of center, there's a couple of large looking windows that I'm certain have never been shown before. Unless he previously covered them up, I think they create some plot holes in previous episodes since people could have looked in the basement from the outside, as well as fire guns at people in the basement from outside. Therefore, I'm thinking he removes those windows, frame and all, and sends the boat through the hole. He probably lifts it with those chains he's playing with in the picture.
