I can't remember how many episodes they ordered for this season. I thought it was only 19 or 20, due to MH moving on, but maybe I am mis-remembering. And we have already had 17, and 8 weeks left before the finale doesn't give us many new ones...

that plot sounds familiar…
🤔 hasn’t it been done before with other members of Team Gibbs - and Gibbs himself?

At least they don't mention an explosion...... so there is a bright side..... right??

that’s really funny, kaschu! 😂
on a similar note, last night I was channel surfing (after watching that devastating SUNS loss to NOLA 😕 😡), and there was a show on PBS titled Before We Die, a British crime drama…
well, it wasn’t five minutes before there was a HUUUUUGE Ka-Boom that totally destroyed a lakeside house, injuring/killing several people… my immediate thought was, “I guess NCIS doesn’t have the market on explosions - they even do it ‘across the pond’.”… 😄
gotta’ make it exciting, so let’s blow something up!

Nas, looks like that was based on a Swedish story that the UK remade. I had not heard of it but it aired on Channel 4 over here. Now if you want to watch more British dross may I recommend “Trigger Point”, recommend that you stay miles away from it, that is! For some reason they are saying a second series is going to be made, if it comes about it will be because of the lead actress Vicky McClure who is living off the success of “Line of Duty”. Not missed watching NCIS at all, so I guess it just confirmed that it was only Mark making it still worth watching for me and not the storylines. We have a comedy series called “Birds of a Feather” in the UK so this title might be apt.

I looked up Trigger Point on IMDb, mch, and this is the description of the show:
“Drama series following Lana Washington, an experienced bomb disposal officer working for the Metropolitan Police.”
just what I need! a show where every plot centers around an explosion… I think I’ll pass! 😉
I’ve seen ads after the weekly NCIS episodes that seem to be indicating Mark Harmon is still making episodes, but they are offered on Paramount+, CBS’ streaming service… I don’t subscribe to any streaming services - none! part of my cable service includes several Premium channels, like HBO, Starz, etc., so there’s enough stuff out there to watch without me paying extra $$$ for programs that more than likely aren’t worth the expenditure…
🤔 um, maybe someone here on the board has seen MH in these Paramount+ episodes?

I have Paramount Plus but I rarely use it - right now my son is using it for soccer.
Could the ads be refering to re runs? I thought Mark kind of rode of into the sunset ...
As for cable - we have basic plus a sports package ... like 200 channels of which we use 15 at best - a few network, my husband watches business news and sports channels. In between my kids we have streaming services but I don't watch them. I wish there was a way you could just select the channels you want but I guess that would not be very profitable...

yes, luckysmom, the thought did cross my mind that those episodes with MH are re-runs… if he was coming out of the “sunset” to make more episodes it would certainly be nice to have them available to his bazillion fans who don’t have Paramount+ - unless, of course, it’s a ploy to make more $$$ for all concerned…
speaking of streaming, I’m hearing/reading that this industry is taking a serious hit recently… Netflix, Disney Plus, hulu, etc., etc., etc. are losing subscribers due to increased pricing, and people just don’t want to pay the extra $$$ when there are more & more free options becoming available… sounds like the folks who came up with the idea to bilk the viewing public out of their hard earned cash have hit a wall…
seems half the movies and many t.v. series have been produced for streaming only… I’ll see commercials/trailers for them and think, “oh, that looks interesting”, only to see they’re not showing in theaters or airing on any cable or regular broadcast stations… then I think, “oh well, they probably suck anyway!”…
I also have hundreds of channels with my provider, and only watch a small percentage of them… picking and choosing the ones we watch would probably cost us more in the long run, ya’ know?
there has been a time or two when I found something in my lineup that I didn’t even know I had, and I’m like “oh wow, that’s cool!” a little surprise every now and then is nice…. 😊

I have Paramount+. I subscribed to it for the various Star Trek shows but it's convenient for NCIS and Ghosts too. There is no new content with Mark Harmon on Paramount+. The commercials are referring to the previous season of NCIS with him.

Nas, living in the U.K. I obviously pay a licence fee to the BBC It is less than £160 a year, and I am so grateful for not having to put up with adverts like ITV, C5 and channel 4 (The other so called free to air stations) and all the pay to view stations available with Sky, that costs money per month. Try and watch BBC live and record the other channels, to fast forward through.
