I did have another thought after posting. Part of the same thought, I guess. I mentioned that I think the FBI deputy director will turn out to be dirty; well, it occurs to me that making things look like the Raven is behind them would be relatively simple for him. It would be well within the habits of the writers to have Sweeney be the one who took the money in the first place, framed Parker's partner for that, set up the Cayman accounts to look like they belonged to Parker, then set up the kidnapping of Vivian to look like it was done by Parker's enemy at large, the Raven. He then instructs Vivian to keep an eye on Parker for him. This would also explain why the text exchange was exactly the same for Vivian as it was for Ressler. I like it. Now if you can just figure out how to add Ziva into the mix. Personally, I hope they never bring her back. Sorry, but I am not a fan of her, not even a little.

I have to say I sat through all of it. I had a few chuckles. I recognized Sweeney from Charmed. (season three entitled Magic Hour)...I knew I recognized him from somewhere. would like to see where the romance goes with Jess and Palmer. I have no problems with romance as long as it doesn't make the people total fools.

Finally got a chance to watch the last 2 episodes after a couple weeks apart due to my wife having Covid (and we always watch together). We found the finale to be, basically, meh... Teri Polo didn't really thrill us (she didn't in Meet the Parents, either), and the whole "case" felt contrived and convoluted. At the cliffhanger, I was half expecting to see them eating at a diner, then a shot of the car pulling out of the parking lot and blowing up (of course, we find out later that someone had stolen the car from the parking lot...)... but they screwed up that kind of a cliffhanger LAST year. The Raven had been so far out of mind that this nod back to him had us scrambling to try to remember earlier circumstances, but, as I think about it, the contrived case might be starting to make more sense to me now... As for the season as a whole - we like Parker and his more loosey-goosey style vs tightly wound Gibbs (a refreshing change after several stagnating years). We like that they are letting Knight and Palmer work into things together (since we expected Knight and Torres to be thrust together so she could be his rebound chick after Bishop). Kasie seems to get on my wife's nerves more than mine (she says Kasie is just as annoying, but in not as good a way). we will still watch to see where things go, but we are nowhere near as excited to see each episode as we used to be.
