I'm wondering if anyone here watches this show.
I get to watch it on PBS for 8 weeks between money raising marathons. the 5th season is winding down for us, but I know that the 6th season is airing in England right now.
I know that Humphrey is leaving and the lead from "My Hero" is taking over. On the other boards, there was quite a bit of conversation if he was going to be able to carry the show.
Would enjoy chatting about this show with other NCIS fans.

Found this show last year on PBS, really enjoyed it. I've DVR'd this years and have started watching. The show won't be the same without Humphrey, but I'll give it a chance.

If you think the show won't be the same without Humphrey, then you need to get the first two seasons and watch them. Just saying.

I have seen it from time to time as well. Didn't a character (female) leave a couple of years back or is that Humphrey?

There have been three male and one female character's leave. In my opinion, this has not diminished the show's quality, entertainment value, or viewing pleasure.
But that's my opinion.
That's why I advised terrij to check out the first two seasons.

I watch the show. I didn't know Humphrey was leaving. When did that happen?

In season 6. It's aired in the UK, just not in the states. The only reason I knew it was/is happening is that I read the old boards on the other site. Kind of hard to not know the spoilers doing that.
But that's never really bothered me. I watch repeats all the time knowing what is going to happen, still enjoy the show.
Sorry if this ruined the surprise.

The old shows sound interested. Plan on watching as long as PBS has it on.

Discovered that season 5 ended last Saturday night on PBS. I'll have to wait a year before I get to see season 6.

Love this show, especially the setting. It's just the thing to watch when the gale-force ice storm is hitting outside!

I know that each PBS station has to find it's own funding. Our local station here in D/FW is doing it's quarterly "please give us money so we can buy your favorite programs" telethon right now. Happens every December, March, June, and September. I guess that's why the 8 episode BBC schedule works so well for our local station. They can run a series for two months, then have their fundraiser.
Sorry to hear about "Doc Martin" and the others. My mom loves "Doc Martin". I'm not a fan of it, neither do I like "Keeping up Appearances", always thought both of them were silly. But that's just my taste.
I don't watch a lot of British shows, but the ones I do I really enjoy. I do know like Most American shows, BBC shows are available on DVD, and probably some kind of streaming service.
