If PP had not opened her mouth about leaving TPTB could probably have set up a good, surprise for the viewers with an ending. Now the entire season has been a waiting game that might not end well, unless it had been planned to finish this season anyway and everyone else kept the secret. Has announcing a final season of any show given rise to good endings? Perhaps NCIS would have liked to have done that.

so, I guess what I'm trying to say is I won't really miss PP or Abby, but I do think the lack of "sendoff storyline" for the 15 season character is piss-poor on the part of the writers and everyone else involved in the production of NCIS - - and that goes especially for Mark Harmon!
She has a two partner as her final episodes and she leaves before the series finale. tvline.com/2018/04/06/ncis-pauley-perrette-leaving-season-15-photos-final-episode/So, it seems she does get a better sendoff than Weatherly.

well, I guess I'll have to take back my comment(s) about an Abby "sendoff storyline", eh?
but whether or not it's a "better sendoff than Weatherly" got remains to be seen... we shall see after May 8th...
the article mentions her final scene with McGee, Palmer, Bishop, and Torres... 🤔 who's missing???
seriously folks, you will never convince me that all the talk about the "happy, happy, joy, joy" atmosphere on the set of NCIS is real... the lack of MH & PP not appearing together in one scene all season long says otherwise; it speaks volumes!
oh, to be a fly on the wall! 😉

It will definitely be interesting to see what happens with Abby, I still am hesitant to state it will be better than MW’s until I see what happens.

I'm with you ballerina. I wondered at the time of both MH and GG had it in for Weatherly. One of those things we will never know for sure, though.

I'm with you ballerina. I wondered at the time of both MH and GG had it in for Weatherly. One of those things we will never know for sure, though. They took the one storyline Michael didn't want and Glasberg gave an interview that he never really considered anything else.
I'm glad Michael walked away without rancor and with his head held high. That he gave plenty of notice as to his departure show how much of a professional he is (the same goes for Pauley - she told them last season that Season 15 would be her last). I'm also glad Mr Moonves valued Weatherly so much that he offered him his own series.

imho, that was a petty, insulting move on Glasberg's part...
I sincerely believe Mark Harmon could have overridden that decision, but he didn't; so, as far as I'm concerned he was just as guilty of this "slap in the face" move as Glasberg was!

now that I/we know that PP did get a "sendoff storyline", I'm curious about what it is... I have never been good at guessing what's gonna happen in any situation, so I don't even try most of the time; whenever I do, I'm always wrong...
will the writing be good or will it be awful? will we be talking about it like we're still talking about Michael Weatherly's final episode 2 years later?
I remember David Dayan Fisher saying his "departure" from NCIS as Trent Kort was "Epic!" personally, I thought it sucked...😠
so, what's your guess about how "Abby, Abby, Abby, Abby Abby" is gonna leave her lab, after telling everyone for years that she would never leave even when she got offers "all the time"?

I’m curious as well in regards to Abby’s send off, hopefully it will be a good one. I have no clue about what her exit will be like, especially since PP always claimed that she would never leave the role.

what kind of a "straw" might that be, terrij? 🤔
I wrote last week that if they use the destruction of her lab and her MassSpec as an excuse, it'll be pretty dumb...
dang! I wish my crystal ball was working so I don't have to wait 3 weeks for the answer! I'm sure spending a lot of time wondering about a character I really don't care about, huh? (gotta get a life, nas! )

I have no idea, but everybody has a point where they say "no more." And in some cases they leave.

Could not agree more and it is pretty disappointing to me.
I like MW - he was poorly written as the show went on. I loved the quirky bright Abby of the early seasons - another character who was written poorly as the show went on, to the point either of them could drive you crazy. But they each gave a large chunk of their time and careers to NCIS and it became a hit. They let TPTB know in enough time to be able to write a good exit (as opposed to Cote who decided in the summer hiatus not to return). MW had to have really ticked someone off to get that exit as far as I am concerned. I hope they do a better job with PP, it is a different show runner but I will believe it when I see it. I am keeping an open mind and hoping for the best.
