my brain is having a really hard time comprehending - and believing - this statement from Binder...
wasn’t he one of the many who were left in the lurch when CdP left the show just before Season 14 began? either he has a very short memory - or TPTB & Co. are all pretending to be “ecstatic” for the sake of the ratings surge that they hope will result with the return of “ninja girl”...
Technically, when they were writing/preparing for the start of season 11, they were "working at risk," as we say in the engineering world because Cote was not under contract. By planning for her return, they took a gamble that everything would work out... and they lost. So yeah, it caused them problems but that was six years ago. They reworked the episodes, filmed them and got them to air along with five more season since then. In true show biz fashion, the show went on.
I've always had the impression that the fans have held more of a grudge regarding Cote's departure than the cast/crew.

llyan. I am not sure we will ever know how the cast/crew truly felt. Maybe some day after NCIS ends when it’s common for secrets to come out about a series. I would personally be shocked if at least some of them didn’t have a grudge or were if they were not bothered/offended/upset/etc.

I don't remember what website or artical it was, but the cast member didn't seem too pleased with her decision. That's the only negative comment I remember reading.

given that DM is such a genteel man, those are pretty strong words coming from him... there’s a saying that goes, “he/she wouldn’t say (bleep) if he/she had a mouthful” (crude, yes, but true - I’ve known people like that)... well, apparently Mr. McCallum had “a mouthful” and he said so!
that said, I wonder if he will be making an appearance in either (or any) of the upcoming episodes that CdP will be in - OR is he going to be absent due to Ducky’s book writing commitment?
my $$$ is on the latter...

I see it’s written by the long absent major Ziva/Tiva fan, Gina Lucita Monreal.

yep, I noticed that also, NewBe...
also: 🤔 are we to assume that the pix llyan posted showing some “smudgey stuff” on the faces of LJG & “ninja-girl” was the result of a bomb? if so, what an original idea! 😱

nas If so, I hope they didn't damage the nearly finished boat.

Bullet holes in boxes and lampshade in Gibbs basement might mean a gunfight rather than a bomb, certainly not a big bomb anyway. The basement is pretty much intact when McGee and Bishop are doing the scene of crime search after Gibbs and Ziva have been captured.
