IMO: at the end of the day people watch to see what happened, Ninja/Tiva fans watched because they were excit d to see her. Those that don’t like her watched to see what storyline TPTB came up with, and others watched same as always. I personally don’t put too much stock in the number of viewers vs. how many people enjoyed the show or enjoy the series still in general. We can’t really quantify that as not everyone, in fact most people are not putting their opinions online. They really promoted the heck out of this story, people watched to see what happened. Yes of course there were people who enjoyed it, but there were also countless who did not. I’m sorry, but IMO this is still an actress getting a free pass and a reward for unprofessional behaviour, forgiveness is one thing. However, giving her a free pass and a reward is another. She is loving every second of it as well. In my eyes this story is nothing more then a huge PR stunt to bring back in viewers and discussion/hype to a series that has already jumped the shark. They sank to the bottom of the barrel for this story, it really is shameful on so many levels. At at the end of the day it is just TV, BUT that doesn’t mean people don’t want to enjoy what they watch. NCIS used to be well written and a good series, it has not been in my eyes for quite some time. Sure, there are decent episodes here and there, but as a whole it is not the same as it used to be. It really feels like a completely different series altogether. In my honest opinion I wonder if if people are going to look back at NCIS when it’s over someday and still talk about how great it was, or if they will see that it overstayed its welcome and should have been cancelled sooner. Another thing that frustrates me: the over eager desire to force Tiva. I never liked that “ship” anyway, but the more they force it, the more ridiculous it becomes. MW’s final episode was revolved around it, they tried to force it for a while, and now it appears as though they are going to bring it back at some point. The more they force it the more it reminds me of a meme I have seen before: “If you have to force it, it’s nit a fart, it’s blank (insert certain curse word). But it that is just my opinion, I know others feel differently and that is fine. I enjoy the fact that we can all discuss our opinions in a civil manner and still remain friendly to each other.

Yes of course there were people who enjoyed it, but there were also countless who did not. Numbers are still relevant for renewal/cancellation, so they are kinda important, even if one personally don't care about them. I'm merely interested in them for the moment to see if Ziva really did make a difference to the numbers or not and how big that difference is. I’m sorry, but IMO this is still an actress getting a free pass and a reward for unprofessional behaviour, forgiveness is one thing. However, giving her a free pass and a reward is another. She is loving every second of it as well. I agree. Of course, she's loving it. She hasn't done much after she left NCIS. And she only raised much attention when she walked out on that theater production much in the same way as she did with NCIS. Her movie career never started (which may have to do with the fact that she overacts constantly). I already said that in another thread: there are certain writers who deliver more weak scripts than others and they oftenly drag good writers down as well when they collaborate on a story. It feels like a different series b/c some characters were totally changed. Plus new team - different dynamic. Let's see: Tony in the first few seasons wasn't a movie buff, that only happened b/c MW constantly couldn't remember his lines and got a free adlib pass (such a bad idea) and b/c MW is a movie buff, suddenly Tony was one as well. In the beginning it was Gibbs who delivered the movie references. And then Tony became the T in TIVA and turned into a bad joke of it's former self. PP changed Abby radically after the trouble with her then-husband started and she got away with it - the reason why she turned from a cool goth to a spoiled 5 year old brat who suddenly needs Daddy Gibbs; not to mention she went from caring friend to manipulative bitch extraordinaire. Which made the character unwatchable in the last few years as she became more childish than ever - she regressed. Bishop started out with some interesting habits like sitting on the floor or food-associating facts. They took all that away and made her more bland (bring back the food-associating, that was fun!) Torres was more competent in his first season and it seems some writers want to turn him into DiNozzo, the clown 2.0. Not to mention they are trying to make Torres and Bishop a couple (please no, such a bad idea again) Add they are also trying to make a couple out of Gibbs and Sloane, which I don't see either b/c she's too much like Sam Ryan with her mind games. Close friends yes, everything else no. Then they killed off the wrong recurring characters like Dorneget, Diane (should have gone with the initial plan of killing Rebecca) and bring back characters who have overstayed their welcome and add nothing to the story like Senior. Or to take back a character's growth like with Gibbs now, who seemed to be changed after his near deaths experience (first The Calling, then Paraguay) which was reflected in his new style and attitude. And suddenly we are back to the marine hair cut and a Gibbs who's suddenly insecure, talking again to ghosts - WTF??? They made a lot of bad decisions over the years, partially b/c of catering to the loudest groups of fans, partially because they did not (and I think still don't) have a writers bible for the characters. Initally that was Bellisario's plan, two agents working together who become a couple. But it should have been Tony and Kate. When SA left that plan was not really altered, which would have been better; especially since Ziva was a totally different character. It could have worked with Kate, but definitely not with Ziva. Shane Brennan took that idea over to NCIS LA and see, we ended up with Deeks and Kensi. And boy their bickering is annoying as hell in my opinion. One of the many reasons why LA is no longer on my watchlist (not to mention the current fiasco with the JAG reunion)

Best 2 episodes in the last 6 years, never thought Bishop was a good replacement for Ziva but I loved the connection those 2 had, it made the show interesting …. again!!! would love to see those 2 as besties, but I know that won't happen (who can tell?)

Even MOST of the Tive lovers were unha……… I take it you know the 20 million Tiva lovers? or is it just about 20 or 30? I am a Ziva/Tiva lover and missed her and Tony a lot, never liked the replacements and was excided when they brought her back, was hoping they also brought back Tony but that was a stretch, I agree with Ballerina, the show is just not the same, I really enjoyed the episodes when they brought her back no matter how bad they were written, I just liked watching her, I even liked the interaction with her Tores and Bishop

One thing I will say is that we have no clue how many NCIS fans like her, like her with Tony, vs. those who do not. As most fans are not putting their opinions online, yes their are a lot that like that pairing. However, there are countless who do not, and see the toxic and abusive side of Tiva. It is definitely not the same as it once was that is certain. But again to each their own, if you like Ninja/Tiva that’s fine, and for those of us that do not that is also fine.

good math, NewBe! yes, that was a real eye-roller moment for me...🙄 in one of his interviews Binder said that Gina Lucita Monreal is a mother and she has a real connection for writing Ziva as a mother... it’s unbelievable to me that she would write something as unbelievable as that [about Sahar not knowing]...
😂 believe me, there was no pun intended when I wrote “oh bull!” - it never crossed my mind...
and don’t hold your breath for the permanent demise of “ninja girl”... after next week she’s due to return for 2 more episodes later in the season, and I even read somewhere there will be 1 more for a total of 5... next thing we hear she’ll be returning as a regular again... honestly, wouldn’t surprise me!
nas THAT WOULD BE AWESOME!!!!! and thanks for the updates on her several returns, can't wait to start watching this dumb show again, the new cast is like watching a cartoon.
