So for now ... after wine... it was way out there.
Seeing Ziva was kind of nostalgic. Just seeing the screen, but not listening or paying attention, it brought back the earlier seasons.
About all I can say now is it was not like watching NCIS, it was like a show in some ways that I did not recognize.
There were points I was okay with and points I didn’t care for...
More to,say after I process...

I've updated the thread with a poll. If you'd like to vote for 2 categories you can in case you want to reserve full judgement until after next week.

I'm still digesting the episode (and almost through a second viewing). There was a lot going on in this one and the last scene really threw me. Something is clearly off about Ziva. That last scene with her makes me wonder how clearly she is thinking and whether we can trust the information she has given us.
I'm going to have to watch it again and put together some more thoughts but a couple of things:
1. Glad to see that McGee was ticked at Bishop for not telling him about Ziva
2. Bishop went back to old habits of barging into the men's room. Again, glad that Tim called her on it. The line about calling HR made me laugh.
3. Torres totally threw Bishop and McGee under the bus with the Director when he accused them of withholding information.

Well from the beginning.... Ziva was as annoying as she was when she was on. Refusing to listen or explain herself....
But she did mention Tony....
I love she is being attacked by someone she only knows the name of....doesn't know who she is what she looks like....
I'd love some explanation....
And some panic attacks and flashbacks..... she can have Tony again.....

Until the second part airs I don't think I can give a fair grade because there's still a lot to resolve, so B and Reserving Judgement for now.

I'm reserving final judgement until I see part 2. Although..that peanut butter thing I mentioned in my last post seems like a good idea now......

well, that’s 1 ep down, and 1 to go...
gotta agree with kashu - Ziva was as annoying as ever; even my double Maggie didn’t make her bearable...
IMverrryHO, the episode was over-the-top, convoluted, and just plain weird...
I’m going to reserve any more comments until tomorrow after I’ve had time to digest this hot mess...
I will say this one thing, tho: me thinks it’s time for Torres to start wearing glasses 🤓! seriously?! he didn’t recognize that the “grey haired guy” jackin’ the car was Gibbs? c’mon, man! 🙄

OMG...."what would you give to have one more minute with your daughter"..... "Not going to happen".... "Not Kelly but me" ..... GIVE ME A BREAK.... You, Ziva, took off abandoned the team years before, did you keep in touch??? I realize things happen we don't see...but really??
And using Mother's Little Helpers.....
I hope we get some answers.... next week....

This is what I had the hardest time with. I could understand is she said the entire thing to Gibbs but to imply Kelly and death and mean herself was unacceptable. Especially since she is now a mother separated from her own child....

Have to say I enjoyed my tea more than I did the show. Never thought Ziva would make much of a mother and this episode didn't change anything. Agree with llyan, I think Ziva has lost it, gone over the edge.

She’s taking drugs?? She called herself Gibbs daughter?? Has she had a psychotic break? Maybe she’s paranoid and no one is actually after her. I take it there was no mention of how a person who is legally dead has been supporting herself for the last 3+ years. Has she been in the US all this time? If not she’d be traveling on forged documents - a crime.

After the first scene, I turned it off and returned to my Criminal Minds CDSs. I plan on waiting until the 3rd episode to get back into NCIS this year. Convoluted is an excellent word for many of the arc episodes over the years. IMHO

OK, I've watched this twice now. The episode is still a hot mess that is stretching my BS meter to the breaking point. The nerf brick got a workout. N No doubt CdP got the egocentric episode that she wanted. Typical of Ziva trying to manage everybody without explanation or consideration, just "follow my orders" --- Why? That hasn't worked well for her in the past, don't see it changing now.
Good for McGee in calling Bishop out on barging into the men's room. I loved the line about calling HR.
What is Bishop's problem? She never knew Ziva, so when did she become an "expert" on interpreting Ziva's actions or demands?
For Ziva to ask Gibbs about taking potential additional time with his daughter, then inserting herself into the role? Sorry sweetheart --- you are NOT Gibbs daughter, and never were.
I'm looking forward to next week's episode just to see if this tangle gets straightened and question are answered (my guess is, probably not)

I haven’t rewatched the episode yet, and I want to do that before writing a complete review...
some of you who have posted have already brought up the “Not Kelly! ME!” scene, so there’s not much I can say about it other than how absolutely ridiculous it was... “ninja-girl” comes off as self-centered and totally delusional... good job, writers! 😖
there is one thing I want to write about right now - this bothered me all the while I was watching last night and it still bugs me:
WHY did we have to see Gibbs battered and bloody face and arm in every scene he was in? at some point during their 18 hours “on the run” couldn’t he have gone into a bathroom somewhere and washed the blood off? (apparently the almighty LJG doesn’t have the need to relieve himself, eh?) I kept wanting to reach through the screen with a washcloth and clean up his face!
gotta’ tell ya’, if I was on a bus and somebody got on looking like him I’d have gotten off at the very next stop!
oh, I know how crazy I must sound, but it’s the little things that I pick up on that get to me...(Freud would have a field day 😉)...
nothing - absolutely nothing - about this episode made any sense! it answered no questions - simply brought up more of them... I’m positive this situation will not be resolved in the next episode; TPTB will dragggg it out for as long as they have an audience to follow...
that’s all I want to write for now... atm, I have other things to occupy my craziness...
