good math, NewBe! yes, that was a real eye-roller moment for me...🙄 in one of his interviews Binder said that Gina Lucita Monreal is a mother and she has a real connection for writing Ziva as a mother... it’s unbelievable to me that she would write something as unbelievable as that [about Sahar not knowing]...
😂 believe me, there was no pun intended when I wrote “oh bull!” - it never crossed my mind...
and don’t hold your breath for the permanent demise of “ninja girl”... after next week she’s due to return for 2 more episodes later in the season, and I even read somewhere there will be 1 more for a total of 5... next thing we hear she’ll be returning as a regular again... honestly, wouldn’t surprise me!

Bish will be fired for her forays into the men’s room to make room for her at her old desk.

So glad that we just watch this as a TV show & let it go... Glad it is not just me. Granted when Mark leaves, if it continues, I won’t watch and move on to another show if one takes my fancy. Same as I did when Grissom left CSI. Nice escape from Brexit for a few minutes a week.

Just to clear up the 5 episode count Cote counted the short stint in S16 Finale as the fifth (or first episode). So she's set to show up in S17E02 and two more episodes later this season (hopefully her lasts). And no to a comeback as regular! Don't give them any ideas!!

The only way I see this working is if Ziva is Sahar and has rebuilt Ari's terrorist group and taken over his legacy........creating a final series bad guy(girl) for Gibbs as the series reaches its conclusion.
I sorta took it just wasn't the Kort/mortar attack event that passed off Ziva, but when she originally left in 2013, Gibbs didn't come over himself to bring her back that has created a emotional ticking time bomb of insanity that now is spilling over into something very dangerous.I
I doubt they have the guts for that, but it would be fun and open up a bunch of other questions.

Wednesday night - 9/25
now remember, this is my verrry personal opinion:
so I watched the episode again, and I have to say I really ❤️d it!
nah, just kidding!
as Mr. Rogers said to Ziver, “Man, this is messed up!” Man, was he right! this episode is totally messed up!!
I thought: the storyline/plot was unbelievable... the script was pure drek... the entire cast over-acted to the point of looking amateurish...
there are so many things I could write about why I seriously disliked the episode, but I’m not going to dissect this mess scene by scene... I’ll just list the few things that stick out - in no particular order...
I’ve already mentioned Gibbs’ bloody face and arms in a previous post (so gross!), and replied to the post about Z’s “Not Kelly! Me!” scene (she is a totally delusional head-case)...
that scene where LJG is asking Z “who wants you dead?”, “what does she look like?” and her answer was “I do not know” & “I do not know” - cracks me up! good answers, you dummy!
wasn’t Ziva the one famous for walking in on Tony in the Men’s Room? I don’t recall that Bishop did that, too, as a few of you have mentioned...
Odette totally rewrote history - and the story - when she told Bishop that Z was, in fact, the intended victim of the farmhouse bombing - not the destruction of Eli David’s files... kinda eliminates the whole reason for Kort’s involvement in that situation, doesn’t it? it’s amazing how a stroke of the writer Gina Lucita Monreal’s pen can change everything!
and, btw, who & what is Odette - besides an arms dealer, that is?
Z told LJG that the woman who wants her dead does not know about Tali...Seriously?! she knows everything about you, but she doesn’t know you had a child? oh bull!!!
was it really necessary to cut off the guy’s fingers to get the necklace back? all she had to do was open his cold, dead hands and take it off his fingers... just an excuse to add more blood and grossness to an already bloody, gross episode...
how does Bishop know so much about how Z acted as an agent? and why do all of them think that she was soooooo great, sooooo wonderful, soooo perfect!
o.k. I’m done! I can’t do this anymore!
as I’ve said a couple of times since CdP showed up at the end of Season 16, I have no idea why they brought her back... actually I do know - it’s a great marketing gimmick!
I know there are a few of you on this board who are delighted with her return, but to quote a friend of mine, this is really bad fan fic! really, really bad! 😖
nas
Mr. Rogers. Was this the same Mr. Rogers that wore sweaters and worked at night because it was daytime in Japan? (The one with the Marine who loved Halloween and who's "not daughter" killed him with in his coffee thermos)
So the Zee-Shed landlady appears to be a spy?
Yes, Ziva WAS the one who began the walking in to the men's room - even watched Tony pee at the urinal and told him he wasn't drinking enough water. She was totally disinterested in his discomfort and McGee's too when she did it to him. She strutted and smirked as if she had the right to be in there.
So, Elly doing this a time or two and getting chewed out over it is just wrong.
Excuse me? So this persistent, but apparently inept killer has been chasing Ziva like she's Carmen San Diego for years and somehow missed that her target was preggers and had had a baby. Totally missed she was toting around a toddler? Let me attempt the math. Z got pregnant around September 2013 which would, barring pre-maturity, result in a birth around June 2014. She totes her around until she decides to fake her death in May 2016 and this killer never noticed? (Using "Oh bull" made me laugh since that's the name of the character MW now plays).
By the time Z decided to "make him [Gibbs] proud and quit NCIS she was pretty much "practically perfect in every way" and could toss a guy off a ship - no, he could not have fallen where he landed - without a lot of help" and everyone around her treated her like a wilting flower.
Bishop's worship of Ziva the Perfect last season seems to have gotten even more creepy. Gibbs had a daughter named Kelly and Ziva seems to be trying to erase her because SHE'S his one and only "kid".
If she dies for real this time I really hope there's a body to put an end to this nonsense.
Amen and Amen

OMGosh! I forgot one eye rolling scene that just can’t be left out of my “gripe-fest”...
so, somehow LJG gets an old payphone to work by digging around in it with his knife - or whatever the heck it was he was using on the coin slot... then he calls McGee to tell him to decrypt the info they are going to send him... (llyan brought up a good question in her review: just where did they go to get that info to him, eh?)
then he says: “Oh, by the way, there’s a dead body in the alley between (such and such a street)”
next scene we see is “Grizzley” on a table in autopsy with a “Y” on his chest, and Palmer explaining to the “Ziva Fan Club” his c.o.d....
okaaaay... so are we to assume that Palmer just took the NCIS “meat wagon” to said alleyway, picked up said dead body, and immediately performed an autopsy on it? screw rules, regs, and protocol, right? Gibbs said to do it - - so he done it!
oh, please!! 🙄
you know, the writer(s) don’t expect us to ask questions like these... we just have to Believe...
I’m sorry, but being the Realist that I am I. Don’t.Think.So!
(eta: I have to wonder just how much $$$ CBS is paying these actors to do these scenes without laughing their asses off...) (eta #2: please, don’t stop me - I’m on a roll! I know there are many Oscar winning actors/actresses who have made some real “clunker movies” during their careers, but I seriously have to wonder how Mark Harmon, a highly respected actor in the industry, can do this series week in and week out without asking himself “Why am I doing this?” he’s [supposedly] a smart man...how can he continue to act in and produce these episodes that, imho, are insulting to people’s intelligence? (or should be!)

Nas, I am very much a realist as well, I honestly believe TPTB just hope most of the fan base ignores all these types of things. They just hope people gush over Ninja-girl and accept whatever they throw our direction.

Nas at Mark’s age and CBS paying, was it at least $750,000 an episode? x 24 I can easily see why he’d be doing it. Nice nest egg for his family. Same goes for the other actors. Lot of out of work actors in Hollyweird.

There was a coin (or something metal) jammed in the pay phone coin slot. He was using his knife to dig out the obstruction so he could use the phone.

@ mchnelson
I don’t know how old you are or what target $$ figure you have for retirement, but I’m willing to bet that at the age of 68 Mark Harmon has a very healthy portfolio and enough $$$$$$ in his bank account to take care of himself, his wife and both sons (who are not minors, btw) for several lifetimes...
I really wonder if he doesn’t wake up some days and think, “I’m really tired of crankin’ out this unbelievable cr@p. I think I’ll just do what my good buddy RJWager does, and go make a Reverse Mortgage infomercial to supplement my income.”
I know some people on this board have written that he’d probably hate to put all those connected with NCIS out of a job, but, hey, jobs end & people become unemployed... just like everybody else in the “real world” they move on - or not...
once again I must say: IMverryHO, it’s a shame that what was once an entertaining show has become, of late, unwatchable due to the unbelievably weak storylines, plots, and scripts they have been giving their loyal fans...
shame... 😕

Someone speculated on whether Ziva would survive all 4 of her episodes this season. I suggest that good ratings will see her survive (so they can bring her back for a ratings boost next season) and poor ratings may not. Just a guess.

According to the internet Mark Harmon has an estimated networth of $90 million while his wife Pam Dawber is estimated at $10 Million. Pretty sure his number is outdated as I've seen this est. networth at least for 2 years.once again I must say: IMverryHO, it’s a shame that what was once an entertaining show has become, of late, unwatchable due to the unbelievably weak storylines, plots, and scripts they have been giving their loyal fans... IMO, some of the weaker scripts are usually by certain writers who deliver more bad scripts than others. Also when writing with others, they may drag them down as well. I'm not a fan of Gina Lucita Monreal and Brendan Fehily, because their scripts are usually on the weaker side and in case GLM writes Ziva, it gets worse.
