I will be watching, in the same way I have watched the last seasons - on DVR when I have the time and desire. I will say that I will watch the first 2 episodes pretty much on time so I can read the posts... I will be reading and posting, unless things are too overwhelmingly negative (which I get, I can understand the level of disappointment and frankly disgust people have with this plot twist). Either way I will be checking in with my cyber buddies .

As I said before, I'll watch the first 2 episodes only to see where they go with it. Otherwise, I'll only watch episodes that don't involve the IUSMNB (Immortal Undead Super Mossad Ninja Barbie). And even then, I probably won't break my neck to rush home to watch. The show is no longer an absolute "must see" for me anymore. The only "must see" network show for me these days is Chicago P.D. maybe followed closely by NCIS New Orleans.

I would also add that she can do no wrong in the eyes of everyone else as she is seemingly always forgiven.

Slightly longer trailer. From CBS' site for now so probably region locked.

Tony? Ziva's doormat? Really? He loves her. He understands all the abuse she has been through at the hands of her father as he manipulated her into the killer she is supposed to be. Remember when Dena Bashan told Tony she thought Ari was damaged by the father also. Speaking of Dena, I think she could be the "Sahar" who is after Ziva. She was pretty angry that Ziva took her Ari away from her.

Remember when Dena Bashan told Tony she thought Ari was damaged by the father also. Speaking of Dena, I think she could be the "Sahar" who is after Ziva. She was pretty angry that Ziva took her Ari away from her. You bet your sweet bottom he was her doormat.
He was her verbal abuse victim. He was also her physical abuse victim when she swept his legs out from under him AND put her gun to his chest. She tried to get Gibbs to kick him to the curb in favor of her. None of that is love! IF he loves her all it demonstrates is his self-esteem is in the basement and his childhood abuse and neglect left him vulnerable to believing someone like her is all he thinks he deserves. Hopefully since his departure from NCIS to raise a kid he's been told is his he's learned to love himself and know he deserves someone vastly better.
She was no victim. She made decision after decision that went wrong, never admitting any wrong doing. It appears she hasn't changed at all. No lasting self-reflection. No thoughts for anyone other than herself. Poor me, I faked my death and you all believed me so didn’t search the world over for years to find me. Now I get to be angry and depressed and it’s all your [all] fault.

Wow! That's quite an assessment of Ziva. I can't say I ever interpreted the character to be that.........evil. I did think some of her actions were over the top but never thought of her as being that bad. I kinda had compassion for what she had been through. Her wanting to be involved at NCIS (at Jenny's request) felt to her like an escape, a chance to get away from so much she hated about her life with her dad.
That scene where she trips Tony and puts the gun to his chest is my LEAST favorite scene in the whole series. However, Tony could dish it out himself at times. Still, when it comes to analyzing the characters, the stakes are very low. It is only a TV show and I don't watch much TV since I do have a life. I just happen to have latched onto NCIS this year and became invested in the characters and plot lines. They are a sort of escape since I don't read fictional novels.
From reading the rest of the posts on this board I find you are not alone in criticism of the show, however popular it is around the world. I like it a lot and will continue watching either broadcast or streaming. The plots are interesting to me and there are other characters I enjoy watching. My suspicion is that Cote de Pablo was reluctant to sign on for very many episodes pending the reception of her comeback. The jury is really still out on the public's reception of these episodes so we will see how it goes. Perhaps the gap between her first 2 episodes and the 2 follow up episodes of season 17 was designed to give the writers a chance to gauge the public's feelings on the direction they are going and adjust the scripts accordingly.

How long into this episode do we have to have "bloody face" Gibbs?? Would it be too difficult to dash into a washroom?
It also appears that the new thing is to put facial wounds on Gibbs.... I guess they had to find something for Abby's "tattoo" makeup artist something to do.
So many questions left from episode 1 hoping for some answers.... an answer.... a clue.... something...

“bloody face” Gibbs was the first thing I wrote about in my long list of gripes, kashu... he looked filthy and gross - and “ninja-girl” didn’t look much better! 😖
yep, the make-up department is having a field day! did you get a good look at the bad guy at the bottom of the stairs in LJG’s basement? apparently someone in make-up has an advanced degree in “gross facial wounds”...
don’t hold your breath for any definitive answers... me thinks they’re going to dragggg this Z thing out for as long as it generates “buzz”...

I am also in agreement, I believe that TPTB are going to stretch this story as long as they are able to.

Note: The clips are labeled 1 and 2 but I put them up in reverse order because it's clear that these two scenes happen one after the other.

Ok. Now having watched both parts (that's 2 hours of my life I'll never get back). What did I like? Um, not much. Liked Kacie in both episodes (especially her being unimpressed the IUSMNB was up in the bullpen lol) and Jimmy's reaction to learning that the IUSMNB was alive. I pretty much had the same reaction when I saw her at the end of the season finale.
Other than that...
I got nothing...
