That didn't exactly go the way I thought it was going to go but I enjoyed it. I'll have to watch again and put down some more detailed notes but that's a task for tomorrow.

geez, CdP’s overacting in that first scene is just damn near unwatchable!
it’s a good thing I made myself another double Maggie - I’m gonna need it to get thru this hot mess... 😂
more to follow...

After being out of town last week and not home once again while the episode tonight aired, what I've read on this forum hasn't motivated me to want to check out the two episodes. The one single thing I read that sounded like it might be interesting is the Palmer reaction to Ziva being around in tonight's episode, but even that was vague. Can anyone tell me a bit more about his scene?

But I won't do a damn thing for my daughter......or her father....
This lame butt rebuild a cell because of Ari's death.... is why the Z wonder woman is estranged from her daughter.....
really??
loved Kasey not giving the proverbial rats pattooie about the Z woman...
Does Michael Weatherly get paid for his appearances these past two shows?

welcome back, Hari... missed you!
I’ll leave it to someone else to tell you about Palmer and his desire to see “ninja-girl” in the flesh...
I just don’t feel like writing anything about this episode - - not tonight - maybe not at all; it was just too dumb to waste my time on...
I will say one last thing, however: I loved Kasie’s cavalier attitude about meeting the beloved Ziva... she wasn’t falling all over herself waiting to see her - yay, girl!! I’m ever so glad they left it at that, and didn’t show that she was secretly waiting with bated breath to meet the “badass”...
and that, dear friends, is the only positive thing I took away from this episode...
as I said, I will not be watching NCIS anymore, so any future subject matter I post about won’t be related to the show...
as they say, “hey, it’s been real...”

Well..... OK, I liked this episode better than the 1st part. But, then, this episode was much more a standard whodunit procedural that NCIS does reasonably well. Had the cop pegged. Wondered why Vance and Ziva never had a scene together. Someone earlier commented that David McCallum had been outspoken in his anger at Ziva leaving the way she did. I presume that's true, so it was very impressive to watch him in his scene with her. A thorough professional, he came through well. That may be the best part of this episode.

Well, I am not sure what to think about the start to the new season. I will give it a resounding... meh. I especially was underwhelmed about the whole way that "Plan C" for the big, bad terrorist played out - very hinky...
Liked Kacie - she seems to grow on me more and more. Palmer is still a bit too goofy for me. Did like the staged fight, it put Torres into his place a bit, but this bunch of domestic terrorists didn't think anything was weird about 2 people wondering on their property for no reason, really?
Will be nice to get back to the team doing what Vance and Gibbs tell them too, instead of direction coming from SWNSNBU (She Whose Name Shall Not Be Uttered)

I always liked “Ka-Ka”... she seemed like the only one with a brain in this episode... no time for “star-struck adoration” - just doing her job...
yeah, those “domestic terrorists” were as dumb as a sack of rocks! (why am I not surprised?) it wasn’t even a “chick fight”...

Time for my own 2 cents. 1. It's was only 2 episodes. Much like her departure 2 episode arc, I won't condemn a whole season for it. Let's face it, I've stuck with NCIS from 2010 to now. I've outlasted Ziva, Tony, Abby and even Ducky's part time schedule. Didn't really affect me when Esposito was one and done. Even if McGee left, I'd still watch it. The other characters grew on me.
Let's be honest and realistic, as much as one can for a TV show. Kacie never met her, never knew her, so why realistically care? She didn't hang around Abby enough to even imagine the huge shadow Ziva cast. And after so many seasons, she honestly should. Almost 10 years is a good run. Palmer's always gonna be Palmer, Dr. or not. He is written that way. Wife, kid, didn't change him anymore than it did McGee. As for the episodes themselves, typical NCIS, last minute twist. Were we expecting different?
After 17 years, things are a bit played out. Still not enough to say bye bye to. Which, technically should mean leaving this board, but that ain't gonna happen. So why even announce it? Are there things not to like? Of course, to each their own. But are there still things to like despite all the cast changes and storylines? I say yes. Seems after next episode, which also is the obligatory fall out episode, much like Recovery, years ago. Beyond that, back to regular serial one and dones. So that in and of itself gives hope for the year only 2 eps in. Too soon to call it a failure.
I get it, some people don't like Ziva, but some do. Regardless of the bashing. It's like politics, one's opinion is not likely to change another's so why harp on it. Bottom line, the 2 parter served it's purpose. Which, let's face it, is for ratings, not just the disparaging public, which obviously wasn't swayed by Pauley's less than stellar opinion of Harmon himself. So love it or leave it, but move on. The show has. And me? I'll be with it til the end. Because I give shows a chance. Did I like the idea of Fez joining the show? No. Not enough to make me run. This won't either.
As much as it's "for the fans" the creative forces do it for themselves too. The tales they want to tell. Can't please everyone, or even certain someone's,. but why try? Still gonna be No. 1 on Tuesdays. And that's all they care about.

Oh and would Ziva truly risk her lover and her daughter not knowing who tried to kill her? First Kort, then Zahara. Why risk them? As Mossad, much like Jason Bourne, which no one complains about, she has plenty to fall back on. She acted in a way that for her, was normal, much like Gibbs did and does. So won't condemn her on her actions,. They made sense.
