In the previews for episode 1 they show Torrez in cuffs. Now these pix show him working the case. Guess we know how the 1st episode ends (at least sorta)

So....I guess his arrest/imprisonment isn't going to be the theme of that 10 episode arc?

I am very curious as to what this 10 episode arc could be, and to be honest, a little nervous. That could easily go wrong, depending on what it’s about, and who is involved with the episodes. I am just not confident at this point, hopefully I am wrong though.

It all depends on how they do it. P2P was a decent length arc, I'd have to look up how many episodes, but I didn't think it was all that great (the best episode was 'Baltimore' and that was a copycat). In the series 'Burn Notice' the arcs consisted mostly of episodes that were 90% a standalone situation with the main character working on the serial component when he got a spare minute here and there and it worked great.

Strictly a guess, but a Palmer-Knight plot could be used as background (B plot) for the season with other cases front and center. BTW, haven't been right about how NCIS works out very often.

I didn’t know exactly where to put this post, but here is as good as any, I guess…
so, last night I rewatched the final episode of S20, “Black Sky”, where Torres went, um, “undercover” in prison to keep the Russian bad guys from destroying life as we know it… I wrote a few posts about it, and basically I said the entire episode was unbelievably ridiculous, but the one thing that bears repeating here is:“…also, those scenes where Torres beats down the big dudes who are a foot taller and outweigh him by 50 pounds of muscle always make me 😂 …”
now verdun wrote:In the previews for episode 1 they show Torrez in cuffs. Now these pix show him working the case. Guess we know how the 1st episode ends (at least sorta) ;
and brgjoe wrote: So....I guess his arrest/imprisonment isn't going to be the theme of that 10 episode arc? of course, guys, Torres won’t go to prison for killing the guy who messed up his family’s life when he was a kid - - no surprise there! it’s just that contractually writers must create drama for Torres where there is none…
all that said, I am not anticipating anything great from a 10 episode arc in this shortened season 21… in the past even the 3 or 4 episode arcs are poorly done (my opinion only)…
so, it remains to be seen if the writers have earned the changes they demanded during the strike, and if the episodes/storylines are really stellar…
we shall see, starting February 12th…

rather than adding an edit or an eta to my previous post, I’d like to say this:
I hope this episode, “The Stories We Leave Behind”, brings honor to DMac/Ducky…
I ❤️ how he sometimes gently talked to the victims in autopsy… I ❤️ how he would ramble on and on about things - - kinda’ like I’m doing now, and calling it my “Ducky impersonation”… 😉 (hey, why use 10 words when a hundred will do? 😅 )
he was a great character on this show, and I, for one, will miss his presence…

As will I. I got a tear in my eye when Parker got the phone call from Jimmy, because I knew what it was
Anyone catch the name of the Corgi? Solo. As in Napoleon?
Also, I remember when his mum was alive, Ducky said that the Corgis were "horrid little creatures". I guess he warmed up to them.

This just popped up. Just 2 minutes, but a featurette for the episode with a lot of brief clips of Ducky.
