Wondering as Ralph Waite died and lots of people complain about the way women are used in NCIS, if they are going to use Alex and her Mother the same way they used Mark and Ralph. I hope she is more like Ralph than Gibbs MiL.

Wondering as Ralph Waite died and lots of people complain about the way women are used in NCIS, if they are going to use Alex and her Mother the same way they used Mark and Ralph. I hope she is more like Ralph than Gibbs MiL. It's already been established that there is a secret between Alex and her mother. The grandmothers necklace or bracelet. ( I don't remember which). So with that secret probably comes some tension.
Gibbs Mother-in-Law was a story of revenge that again dipped into Gibbs history of the death of his family. At least with Ralph, there was more to deal with than just Kelly and Shannon.
I am looking forward to seeing Mercedes Ruehl. Don't know if this will become a re-occurring character, but I seriously doubt it.

This one might win for the strangest episode title! Crystal ball (not that it's much of a stretch) says the Vice-Admiral knew Tim's dad. Will McGee try to do what he did when Sarah was in trouble before he fesses up?

I may may be wrong, but the episode title brings to mind a very, very old song... it may have more to do with Alex "hot mess" Quinn & her mother than the computer hacking situation... here, in part, are the lyrics to the song, "Life is Just a Bowl of Cherries":
Life is just a bowl of cherries Don't take it serious; it's too mysterious You work, you save, you worry so But you can't take your dough when you go, go, go So keep repeating it's the berries The strongest oak must fall The sweet things in life, to you were just loaned So how can you lose what you've never owned? Life is just a bowl of cherries So live and laugh at it all btw, I could care less about Quinn and her "family matters"... the lady is just strange, imho...

I am really glad to see Bruce Boxleitner again. Does he play the same character as he did the last time he was on the show?

I am really glad to see Bruce Boxleitner again. Does he play the same character as he did the last time he was on the show? He first appeared in "Broken Arrow" as Vice Admiral C. Clifford Chase. IMDb doesn't have him credited yet for this episode, which is standard, credits aren't given until after the airing. In all likely hood, he will be reprising his previous roll.

From the photos, it appears that Duane Henry will be playing a larger roll in this episode. Finally.
