I have nothing against young, beautiful women - I was one of those once upon a time (at least the young part! 😉)
but there’s just something about an actress with Botoxed lips and double D’s playing the part of an NCIS Special Agent in Charge that turns me waaaay off!
sorry if this offends - - it’s me (and Maxine) telling it like it is...

So, only thin lipped, flat chested women can be in charge of anything?

that’s a great comeback, pdsmith! 😂
I honestly don’t know why I’m picking on Vanessa Lachey; there have been so many others who have come before her on so many other shows... (eta: who have looked just like her)

nas The majority of people on this board have already declared the show a disaster, and all we've had is a summary, some photos, and a trailer or two. Why don't we sit back, watch a few episodes and give it a chance. Every TV show that's ever aired, needed to work out the kinks to start with. Even the original changed quite a bit from the back door pilot to middle of the first season.
Perhaps after a year or two we can decide if it's any good. I gave LA three years before I stopped watching it. I'll admit I gave NO less time, but I don't like Bakula, never have liked anything he was in. But I gave it a chance because I liked other cast members. The point is, I didn't pass judgement until the show had been on for a year or two.
The negativity of many of the posters on this board is what causes me to not post. If you no longer like the original, go do something else with your time. Is the original as good as it was in the early years? Perhaps not, but it's still entertaining, even with it's flaws.
And frankly, I don't care what the people look like, if they can pull of a good performance, I'll watch the show.
So let's everybody just sit back, shut up, and give the show a chance.

Well, there was Frank Burns, but his command didn't last long. 😼😼😼

well, “shutting up” has never been Maxine’s style, pd... so, we’re stuck with her opinions - for better or worse...

I am going to give it a shot ...
Right now I am worn down... working through 18 months plus of COVID as a nurse in a Pediatric office, politics, hurricanes, flooding, divisiveness.... I may or may not like it. I might just like the the scenery. I might just like the distraction, Or I may turn it off during the first episode ...
Either way I love the distraction. The same way I love the debate on this forum (since no one is nasty). It takes me away from reality...

I hear ya’, luckysmom... the news is depressing, heartbreaking, and exhausting... 😕 and on top of that, you’ve been working thru it all...
looking at the Hawaiian scenery is always calming - I hope it helps you...
I’m going to watch the first episode, out of curiosity, but I’m not expecting to be overwhelmed...
to you, fellow dog lover!
